Hello, everyone. I have some questions about my team, but first, here is what I have so far: (Note they are all lv 37 except gyrados and gengar, levels 38 and 51 respectively. Also, I am at the start of the veilstone galactic buildig in my game)

Torterra

Razor Leaf
Leech Seed
Earthquake
Rock Climb

Anyway, any suggestions on how to shape my team up?
 
Hyper Beam and any Pokemon other than Slaking don't mix at all. And you are Very weak against electric types. Gyarados is much better as a physical attacker. Not really special unless it has a modest or Timid nature.

It is a pretty decent team but Ino-chan right about one thing most of you team woud be knock out with electric attacks, and don't for get ghost and flying will knock Gengar and Torterra out. so might want to change you moves with some. Here's some move i recommend for some:

Torrerra get rid of Rock Climb and teach it rock thow or rock tomb, flying are weak against rock.

Crobat and Pelliperare fine.

Gengar need move info first

Gyarados doesn't go well with Fire Blast,so replace it with Dragon Breath (decent attack with a chance of paralysis).
 
How do I teach it Dragon Breath? Also, I know I have a HUGE weakness to electric, but it's a decision I've made, so that doesn't really matter.
 
Who cares about the weakness to electric? If need be, Torterra for the save.

Rock Tomb is a bit meh.........Stone Edge for the oomph. Though seeing as it is an in-game team, keeping Rock Climb is okay.

How is Dragon Breath any better? Fire Blast has a power of 120, and will never be overpowered by a base 60 dragon attack who has super effective hits only on itself.

I mean the only reason I can see you thinking Dragon Breath is actually any better than Fire Blast is that Gyarrados is a dragon-like water Pokemon while Fire Blast is a fire move. A water type using a fire move does not get any disadvantage compared to any other types using it, except Fire types who will get STAB.

Since this is just ingame, just stick any Physical attacks you have on Gyarados, though even using the standard Dragon Dance set isn't that bad for ingame purposes.

Use the move relearner on Torterra to teach it a worth-while Grass move like Wood Hammer over Razor Leaf which has a low base power working on its equally low special attack. Besides, you have Leech seed for helath recovery and can always use potions.

I've highlighted what I see to be problems. I'm unsure if you can get these moves on an in-game team. Also, what do you mean Brave Bird is illegal with hypnosis?

No Pokemon in Crobat's egg group can learn both BB and Hypnosis. This means it can either know one or the other, but not both.

Might I suggest Fly instead of Pluck, since it's in game afterall.

You can get Focus Blast in the Veilstone Department Store, and Stone Edge is.. um.. somewhere. You could always get them through trades, too.
 
Thanks, everyone. Do you guys have any suggestions where to train? I am having trouble at Mt. Coronet.
 
Well, training in Mt. Cornet itself is always an option. Just go into a part of the cave that leads to the outside world and look for pokemon near the entrance. Depending on how brave you are, of course, you'll find much stronger pokemon further inside Mt. Cornet.

If you get tired of fighting Gravellers, then there's always the routes leading to Snowpoint or outside (and inside) Canalave City, too.
