Bulbacast - dub edition?

Good morning, everyone. Or good afternoon or good evening - you know what I mean.

As you all may know, Bulbacast has become a hit since it was introduced. We're glad you're all enjoying it, especially myself and the other regular members are enjoying it a lot as well!

So, because of its popularity and other reasons, we're looking at ways to expand the Bulbacast. We do this a lot, actually.

Currently, the primary Bulbacast deals mostly with the most recent Japanese episodes. Because of this, we often have the idea brought up to us of doing a Bulbacast that focuses on the English dub instead. And this is something we would like to set up - but we want to know we have the people to support it first.

So, my question to the people of Bulbagarden forums is... how many of you have Skype, a microphone, watch the Pokémon English dub and are willing to join in?

Good Afternoon Peeps, I think it's smart and cool U guys are trying to expanded bulbacast. I would definitely support a focus on english dubbed episodes. I sometimes dont kno what episodes they re are talking about. I kno where i can DL them. but it takes time on bit torrent. I just bought a mic because i been wantin to be in bulbacast. Also I downloaded Skype.

Well, im no expert on the dubs, but I have been watching them a lot lately and following the story line. As you know I have skype and a mic. I'm willing to give this a shot. PokemonTrainerLisa i would suggest for this to.

I have the first two, but not the last one ;.; Alas I have no TV here and the onlyway I get dubs is via Bittorrent/IRC....

I have been waiting for something like this!!!! :-D


And in my opinion, a dub Bulbacast would do just as good as the current Bulbacast (or maybe even better).


That way we would get all the dub fans listening too. ^^


So yeah, that is a very good idea Pie. And I'd be more than happy to join in on a dub Bulbacast. I think I could even be one of the main speakers for this.

I do have lots of experience watching the dub (lol).


Also, there's just a lot of things I could say, about any of the episodes really......


And if anyone wants proof of exactly how much a fan of the dub I am, here's a quote from an old thread ("Being In Bulbacast"):

Pokemon Anime: And of course, I'm an expert in anything at all relating to the Pokemon anime (except Japanese AG episodes, I've never been able to get very many Japanese episodes, unfortunately). And by the way, I've seen all of the dubbed Pokemon episodes, everything from season 1 all the way up to where they are now in Pokemon Advanced Battle. I've also taped all of the episodes.

And one interesting thing of note is that I've completely memorized all of the dub titles. So, if we were discussing, for example, an episode from one of the Johto seasons and someone couldn't remember the title, I could easily point out which episode it was, just by the description alone.

Of course, I'd be more than happy to say what my thoughts are on any of the dubbed episodes. I love commenting on them, and discussing them with other Pokemon fans.

I actually watch Pokemon every time it's on TV, like during the weekdays. And I love watching reruns, so it's like a hobby for me. XD

Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of the dub. ^_^

Yeah, and you can tell this an old post, cause I mentioned that I watched Pokemon on the weekdays. Unfortunately, I can't do that anymore, cause they took off the weekday lineup which I think was just really sad.

Anyway, here's what Archaic said in his reply to that post:

I used to watch dub a lot, but I would need to catch up a bit before trying this out. I would think there would be some test runs of this to see how things work out. Other than that, I could take a shot at this.

I think PokemontrainerLisa is a good choice to be in or be a main speaker in bulbacast. i think shes educated about her pokemon. thnx

As much as I would like to be the in the cast, Lisa is the most knowlegeable person for dubs. I'm an expert on the video games though, needless to say.

Yea, sounds like a good idea... I actually have all three items and have enough free time to participate, XD. I've seen most of the raws that correspond with the dub version, but I do watch the dub most of the time.
