Hello everyone! The first spin-off from the original Bulbacast, the "Bulbacast English Edition," has arrived! This podcast is focused solely on the English language version of the franchise and will feature discussions on the English version of the TV series, video games, trading card games, manga, and anything else related to the franchise that's been translated into English!

The first episode's cast members are Pie, Dogasu, PokemonTrainerLisa, and bgtfamily. TSS_Killer recorded the Bulbacast for us, and PPN Steve is hosting it.

This week's topic: For the first episode, we decided to sort of give an overview of the series by discussing three of our favorite episodes. Each castmember talks about the episode and explains why it's particularly memorable or important.

Please post your comments about the episode here. Any comments, be they negative or positive, are welcome here. If you have a question that you want one of us to research and answer for you on a future episode, please e-mail us at [email protected]

Next week's topic: The PUSA-4Kids Situation!

i cant stand the music playing. No offense. It was a pain in Bulbacast 7 and i dont think it worked here either. Though this was more orgnanized.

I liked the background music. The pre-written script made it kind of hard to follow. It seemed like this episode was preprepared, which is good, but I liked how the in the other Bulbacast, people could play off each others comments.

For future episodes, I think it would be best to focus on the current dub episode only. Perhaps compare changes and edit? Overall review of the episode.

Overall a good start to the series.

I agree with Sunian about the background music.

I liked all the songs! They were great! ^^

And I really loved the last song, the one that was used at the end!!!!

Also, I think we all did a great job with this first English Edition episode.

However, after having heard this episode completely, I think that the background noise - which seemed to get louder whenever I was speaking - might've been some of my family talking loudly.

And for that, I apoligize. I'm sorry for all the background noise.

Hopefully, when we record again this Sunday, no one here at my house will be talking (maybe they'll just be watching TV instead or something).

Yeah, we didn't *really* talk with each other, did we? We realized that after the fact, but we weren't really going to rerecord the thing :/

The "review a bunch of episodes" thing was a one-time thing only. That was the topic we had chosen for the first episode because it kind of let us review the dub as a whole.

Episode reviews won't be the meat and potatoes of the English Bulbacast like it is for the regular Bulbacast for a number of reasons. So don't worry about future episodes being bogged down with commentaries on random episodes.

I think this was professionally done. People didn't interrupt each other and the music was good for transitioning and added to the overall polished effect. Definitely a promising start and I'm looking forward to what you say about the episodes that aired yesterday.

I'm glad Pie talked about "Showdown in Pewter City." It's one of the most memorable eps for me, too. Onix had such a good showing. However, I don't think Ash taught Brock anything. Brock was impressed that victory wasn't everything to Ash so he gave Ash the badge. Or maybe I'm misinterpreting what Pie said about the episode.

Otherwise, this episode was fun and I really don't have any complaints about formatting or the podcast itself. It was well done.
