All righty, one of these was bound to go up, and the sooner the better, right?

Nothing I'm about to say is likely new to you, but might as well make the first attempt to establish the pattern for these feedback threads.

Bulbacast Episode 1 has been released! The main topic of the episode is Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation 155 - "Pokémon Ranger Appears! Serebii Rescue Mission!!" Speakers are Bulbagarden's Webmaster Archaic, TSS_Killer from [HASHTAG]#pocketmonsters[/HASHTAG], PPN Steve from Pokémon Palace Network, Pie, and Winter. Rating is PG for language.

The episode can be downloaded by bittorrent, by IRC on [HASHTAG]#pocketmonsters[/HASHTAG] on irc.dejatoons.net (32kbps version - /msg PM|100Mbit XDCC send #9 -- 96kbps version - /msg PM|100Mbit XDCC send #10), or by HTTP.

Now that that's out of the way... all right, Bulbagardeners, let's hear all your comments on the first Bulbacast! What'd you love? What'd you hate? Be brutally honest and critical! Or, well, bootlicking works too, if you'd rather do that.

And if you don't want to join #PM, I have it on an IRC bot that's in both [HASHTAG]#BulbaGarden[/HASHTAG] and [HASHTAG]#BulbaCast[/HASHTAG]

Okay. Right. *fixes*

Does ANYONE have a comment on the first episode? Surely the thing about the boxer shorts is comment-worthy at least. XD

I've finally heard it!

And I've gotta say, it's great!

I loved the BulbaCast! ^_^

And I think everyone did a good job on it too!

My favorite parts were:

- when you were all talking about the onigiri thing XD

- when Archaic said, "MAY TRAVELS THROUGH TIME!?" all surprised like that. And then Pie said, "Where have you been, Arcy?". Hehe, that was so funny!

- and of course, when Archaic said, "Here's some trivia for you! How many people actually remember that Bulbasaur's Myserious Garden is the name of the site?"

Hehehehe, I found that absolutely hilarious, cause I've actually been on the website (before it was shutdown). And it always used to have Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden, written out like that somewhere. XD

the thing that bugs me about most non-professional voice recordings is mic problems. Static, breathing, and especially talking too softly. However, I really liked how Archaic and Pie managed to be the most audible out of the bunch, especially Archaic (all the better I could hear him so well, too... in my honest opinion, Australian accents sound pretty cool). No offense meant towards the efforts of the others, but I think this forum should post some kind of thread with tips on correct mic usage or recommended equipment or something (I think I recall someone in another thread recommended wearing headphones), help eliminate such problems on future recordings.

Oh, I have a question for Pie.... why the hell did you use the names "Haruka" and "Nyaasu" at first, and then almost immediately afterwards used "Brock".... as well as a couple other English names I think you used later? Bein' rather inconsistent, ain't ya? BTW, nice to see someone agrees with me that Pocket Monsters has some pretty fucked-up hair.

I think the first episode was great. My favorite part was when you talked about the oringini cover-ups.:lick:

I'm not entirely sure why I called 'em Haruka and Nyaasu, actually. It is a phenomena that even I cannot understand! XD

And yes. YES. The whole series needs to hire a stylist. Except maybe Brock.

Wow,this is some great stuff.I really look forward to hearing more installments of Bulbacast each week. And I really enjoyed all of the f-bombs Archaic dropped during the cast.XD lol Pretty informative too,I had no idea that Funimation has offered to produce subbed releases of the Pokemon movies.

Anyway,I got a couple of comments/questions about the cast.

-What has Pokemon ripped off from Final Fantasy and Harry Potter?

-In regards to the forest fire in the Serebii ep,I was surprised that no one considered the possibility of TR's mecha causing the fire at the beginning of the episode.(another attempt at capturing Pikachu gone HORRIBLY wrong) I think it was too much of a coincidence that we saw Serebii put out another forest fire at the end of the episode.Instead of time traveling through years,Serebii might've traveled about a day back in time before the incident.

-When the subject of physics in the anime came up and Pie mentioned Brock's superhuman strength,I just like to point out there have been other characters with extraordinary abilities.Sabrina and her psychic powers is the most obvious one and Bruno was very agile when he confronted the giant Onix.Kyo from Johto was just as agile and displayed some amazing strength when he stopped a Tauros in it's tracks and saved Tyrogue from a falling boulder.
