I've been listening to BulbaCasts of days past recently. Excuse my naivety, but why did it end? I looked through old threads and it just seemed to be delayed and then canceled without an official announcement or anything. Or at least, anything I could find. Just the craziness that is real life getting in the way being too much of a problem? Was it ever even meant to go that long in the first place? Any hope for a sequel/season? Just, you know, curious. :P

Part of the issue is the craziness of real life, yes. TSS_Killer has been unavailable for recording sessions at times when everyone else could be available, due to study and work, and as he's the one with the recording software...

Also...PPNSteve from Pokémon Palace Network is quite literally missing. He hasn't been seen online in months, and no one's been able to contact him IRL either. Initially, we thought he may have just been on holiday, but it's likely at this point that something's happened to him.

yeah. You can't really have a full cast without PPNSteve. He vanished off the face of the earth. Hell knows where he's at.

I don't have software for recording myself.

And I really wonder what happened to PPNSteve...

I feel bad about that too......

Poor PPN, I really miss him. :-(

He was one of my good friends! I hope he shows up soon!

And also, I hope nothing terrible has happened to him. That worries me.

Fairly recently, I had wanted to start up the Bulbacast again and attempted to get something going before the release of the Diamond and Pearl games and anime. After watching the first three episodes of the Diamond and Pearl anime, I was rather disappointed and as for the game, I just didn't feel as though I could make a hotline about it and make it interesting.

I also attempted to get a few others to do some hotlines as well, though only had a few volunteers.

Also, my favorite type of radio is usually conservative talk (i.e. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Michael Savage, etc.) and personally I want to create sort of a roundtable debate show as I think that would be more interesting as opposed to most Pocket Monsters talk.

Perhaps there's something that can be arranged down the line, though right now, I am just not really fired up to do anything at this point in time.

SOVA! SOVA! And new voice actors.

Also, Steve isn't dead or anything. He's taken a leap of absense because of something that happened to him IRL.

Yes, college has hindered on my schedule dearly. Basically, my real viable free time days are on Friday and Saturday, when no one is available. This quarter ends on Dec. 14th, so I hope that during that three week break, I could get something accomplished.

Uh oh!

Something tells me that would be a very bad idea!

It would be like, me and the rest of SOVA, againt all the non-SOVA people on there. And that sounds like one big ugly mess to me......

Yikes, that would be VERY scary, now that I think about it. O_O

I wonder how I'd be able to defend SOVA during something like that.

The only way to defend yourself is to talk. If you can't even address the other side's arguments as the leader against someone who does not share the same views, then your cause is void.

And if there ever was a SOVA debate, it wouldn't be dirty like previous fights. It would be civil and each side would slowly present their arguments.

If Bulbacast doesn't want to do a SOVA debate, maybe I could set one up with you for my website, PTL. ;)

Especially since most of the SOVA members are wearing little peace symbols under their names. Supporting our position is one thing - which I think SOVA has had no problem doing in text, where one has the opportunity to think before talking. Having recorded heated arguments with our opponents for the sake of entertainment? I would hope most of the SOVA supporters see why that's not a good idea.

I'm so, so tempted to go into WPM's motives for bringing that up. But I think it would be hypocritical of me to shoot down the idea of a SOVA "debate" and then discuss things that I know will lead to a flame war.

I really think the best idea for a debate would be to get the shippers on the air. They seem to enjoy the intense, hate-filled nature of their debates - for the voice actor issue, the fighting between the conflicting views has caused many of us nothing but stress.

The only problem with shipping is the situation right now: ContestShipping and AdvanceShipping are officially canon and non-conon respectively. Meanwhile, there really isn't enough to present any sort of case for the D/P ships yet. There isn't much that can actually be debated.

Yeah. Most followers of the classic ships don't need silly things like the current anime events to defend their ship and challenge others.

Rocketshipping is another one that could be debated.

Hehe, it would be something if we could get Tim from Pokemopolis to be the antishipping guest.

I would have no qualms debating in favor of Queershipping. I mean, unless you guys think you've heard enough of my "flamboyant != gay" rants here on the forums.

Yeah, you bring up a good point Winter. Since bulbacast isn't around anymore, people don't really feel the need to go to a "bulbacast" Q/A thread. They may not even care about answering them on audio either. People's mindset may be "Oh, why have my question recorded when I have a whole forum to go to?". I certainly don't think that but other people do.

However, I think people wanted to go to bulbacast and have their question recorded because bulbacast was popular and it was very well known. Now that it's gone, people have other places to go to get their question answered.

I may be over-thinking this a little but meh...

Can't we do Bulbacast without Steve for the time being? I mean, the Today show got along fine that week they were missing Katie...

That may be a bad example, but we should be able to adapt our show to change.
