Self reflection is fascinating. In 2013, I pressed the button in XY that would have activated the ultimate weapon but when I replayed last month I pressed the button to shut down the weapon. My conclusion: I was a miserable edgelord when I was 17.
 
i realised from the start that the ultimate weapon buttons were a fake choice; there was no way they'd let you shut down the weapon at that point in the story.
 
There's no point in trying to outsmart anyone who gives out button choices. I think the goal of that exercise was to use Odour Sleuth on the player's morality. I used to think Lysandre was a rational guy and couldn't fathom why Diantha didn't join him. Now I'm on Diantha's side when she essentially called him cringe in that café.
 
Lysandre is the most hilariously obvious villain in any of the Pokémon games I've played, I imagine my character is just thinking 'OK y'all know he's clearly part of Team Flare, right?' during all of his scenes prior to it being revealed

i mean
personally
i just define a villain as someone whose intended actions result(ed) in suffering for those around them (the size of the scale depends). the official definition when defining a villainous character is one whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot.
it hardly matters whether or not they're dead or alive, right?
 
I haven't even played SV yet.

(I don't care about spoilers tbh, these are games fundamentally for children and it's not like learning some random twist ruins stories for me - they actually make me weirdly more interested in something because now I wanna know how something is gonna play out. Like if I learn before going into something that like 'Oh this character who is one of the main character's allies is secretly working for the baddies and betrays the heroes', that makes me wanna know like 'Oh shit, how is that gonna happen?' and get more invested in it)

There's always a possibility that happened once before which is why the Pokemon world is full of Pokemon. Nothing new under the sun.

By that definition the Professors are only villains towards Arven.
 
the area zero plot has a lot to do with what the professors were planning tho
the pokemon they wanted to bring to paldea so badly likely wouldve destroyed the region

arven isn't even the main character
the overarching plot of the main game deals with the mc and their friends going down to area zero to meet with the professor and that's where you learn the deal with some of the mysterious stuff in the game and the professor's real goal w their research
the professors are the main antagonistic driving force; i.e., villain
that being said, naturally their actions affect arven most deeply out of the friend group
 
I am pretty sure they did say in game that the Paradox Pokémon being unleashed in Paldea would destroy the wild life there. Unlike Alola, where the Tapus could manage the Ultra beasts, there's nothing to defend Paldea from those things that can permanently injure a Pokémon like it happened to Arven's Mabosstiff (if the injury was bc of a Paradox... I actually can't remember XP)

So yes, they are evil. They knew of the consequences but cared more about their "research" and "the end goal" than the safety of their family and region. Objective justifies the means and all that (though the consequences are catastrophic)

Edit: also neglecting your child is evil too lmao we forgot about that part
 
Tips to surviving school!

Written by Lisia (has not attended high school properly in about two years)

1. Have fun looking at the clock on the wall and figuring out how many minutes you have left until the end of the day!
2. Computer time! Find a brand new shiny unblocked flash game site.
3. Remember that you probably have math homework to do?
4. Put your math homework off until late night, or worse, the next morning! (I do not reccomend this)
