Alola everyone! I made this thread as a place for everyone to specifically discuss their experiences with the Totem Pokemon, and I guess Trials as well, found in Sun & Moon. Any successes? Surprises? Rage Quits? Tips & Tricks? Thoughts and feelings? Feel free to vent frustrations as well, or anything you'd like.

*Note that this thread may contain spoilers, so please read at your own risk!

Oh! I think I could go ahead and give my experiences for each of them as best as I can remember.

Totem Donald Trump Gumshoos: I think I did okay with this. My Torracat was able to handle it with Fire Fang I think, then I let my Pichu take down the Yungoos.

Totem Wishiwashi: I got lucky here. I remember using Nasty Plot and Thundershock to deal with the Totem. Thankfully, it did not summon an Alomomola to heal up.

Totem Salazzle: I think my Dewpider then was able to take it down pretty easily.

Totem Lurantis: I remember this one was annoying. I had a Castform summoned and Sunny Day, though thankfully, Lurantis was taken out before Solar Blade. Torracat managed to take it out with a Fire Fang and an Inferno Overdrive. It did like to use Synthesis.

Totem Vikavolt: This one was irritating with the constant speed reductions, paralysis, and such. It took several turns before I could actually get to attack, but Lycanroc took it out in one shot when I finally got to attack.

Totem Mimikyu: I barely remember this one and the Pokemon I used even.

Totem Kommo-o: I remember thinking it would be easy cause I had a Shiinotic with Moonblast, except it used Flash Cannon to take out Shiinotic. I remember taking it down with a couple Sky Uppercuts with my own Kommo-o

I made a handy-dandy list for my experiences.

  • Raticate: My Litten (or was it Torracat?) solo'd it. It was decently tough, but I managed to defeat it. I don't remember if I used items or not.
  • Wishiwashi: Easiest by far. My Petilil just put it to sleep and wiped the floor with it using Mega Drain. That thing was way too slow to even pose a threat, and its attacks did almost nothing.)
  • Salazzle: This one was a little more challenging, IIRC. I think I used maybe 3-ish Pokemon to take it down? But luckily, Carbink's defenses saved me and netted its defeat.
  • Lurantis: One-shot it with Incineroar before it could make a move or summon an ally.
  • Vikavolt: It didn't seem to hit too too hard, surprisingly. but it just took so long to die because of those defense boosts. Incineroar handled this on his own, using his really good defenses to take a beating until I could wear the enemy down.
  • Mimikyu: I was eager to use Incineroar's special Z-Crystal, and I forgot about Disguise. So you can guess what happened there. Otherwise, it was a decent match, though it was mostly just Incineroar and Mimikyu inflicting little bits of damage against each other. Once again, Incineroar soloed this fight.
  • Kommo-o: That stat boost was hecka, and my Mimikyu wasn't pulling the fight off well, thanks to the enemy's stat bonus. But it didn't stand a chance against my Crobat. This was the only one where I took down the SOS Pokemon before the Totem, since that Hakamo-o was boosting its stats a little too much.

I always take down the boss and worry about the smallfries later, since the SOS Pokemon are useless without their boss.

All in all, I found them a little too easy, but pretty fun. I still prefer facing Gym Leaders, which I felt posed more of a challenge. The SOS Pokemon helping the Totem is a good idea in theory, but they just didn't post enough threat on their own for me to feel intimidated.

I'd love to see the Totem idea be merged with the Gym Leader idea, where their ace gets the Totem power bonus.

Totem Gumshoos: Drifloon can pretty much stop it. Bringing the Totem down first is the way to go.

Totem Alolan Raticate: No Ghost-types here. Just use Fighting-type moves on it, 4x effective.

Totem Wishiwashi: You are lucky if it summons Wishiwashi (which will stay in Solo Form) and not Alomomola. Bringing down the Totem first is even more important as its stats become terrible after its health is down from 25% and Solo-washi allies aren't anything to worry about too. Good thing is it is slow so inflicting status on it seems easy, I'd go with sleep.

Totem Salazzle: As someone who started with Rowlet this would be hard, so I ended up having Greninja one-shot it with Hydro Vortex (didn't mind having to wait a few turns because it was still disobedient).

Totem Lurantis: Note that its allies aren't Grass-type, they are Trumbeak/Castform. Castform can use Sunny Day IIRC. So if you get Trumbeak, let it be so that you don't get Castform. Other than that the fight is kind of the usual.

Totem Vikavolt: Again I ignored the Charjabug and tried to take it down a.s.a.p. It is also slow so not much of a problem. The typing was such that I didn't have something extremely good against it in my team but it wasn't a hard fight.

Totem Mimikyu: Do not lead with the Pokemon that has a super-effective move against it! Get a suicide lead that will just break Disguise. Haunter's Night Shade can be annoying, but don't knock it out... because you'll get Gengar instead! And that one spams Hypnosis, I think? Hardest Totem fight imo although no Totem fight is that terrible.

Totem Kommo-o: Decidueye made quick work of it; it cannot use Fighting-type moves so it resorts to Clanging Scales, and its lowered defenses make things easy. The allies (Hakamo-o/Scizor) look strong but never really dealt any damage.

TOTEM RATICATE: pretty easy fight.

TOTEM WISHIWASHI:
still an easy fight

TOTEM SALAZZLE:
yeah, that was a pretty easy fight.

TOTEM LURANTIS:
OHKO with Inferno Overdrive from a Salandit. Easy fight.

Maybe it's just how I'm playing the games but I have had almost no difficulty with my trials.

Totem Salazzle was difficult and forced me to switch out.
Totem Mimikyu cheated by a one hit KO even though I was several levels higher.

on my first play through I chose Litten, Totem Wishiwashi gave me some issues took 2 tries and then Totem Kommo-o caught me by surprise cause I was expecting it, still won first try though.

The rest of the totems were a cake walk to me.

Totem Raticate: Don't remember having too much trouble with this. My starter was able to deal with it.
Totem Wishiwashi: A little harder, was able to take out my starter. Once it unschooled, however, it was down in one hit.
Totem Salazzle: My starter was able to deal with it, somehow.
Lurantis: Damn that Castform was annoying. Lurantis was able to wall me for a long time with Synthesis, but I held on, and my Wingull was able to handle the finishing hit.
Vikavolt: I found this to be the hardest one, mostly since my team was ill-equipped to handle it (only one that wasn't weak to its attacks was Hariyama). A lucky Hydro Pump from Pelipper, of all things, was able to secure victory.
Mimikyu: I didn't find this to be that hard, surprisingly, mostly since my Drifblim was able to outspeed it.
Kommo-o: Another easy one. I only needed Decidueye's Spirit Shackle.

That's two difficult battles, which is two more than XY had haha. My team wasn't that great this time around, I used a freakin' Pelipper for crying out loud, but somehow that same Pelipper saved my ass on the two hard battles. Never underestimate the power of a Pelipper.

I have mixed feelings about Totems in general as replacements for gym leaders. I feel like they are much more hard and more challenging than a straight up gym battle but ONLY because they are made to be so: you face a pokemon with increased stats that calls on allies and you fight two against one. That's the only reason I found them difficult, although I did enjoy greatly the level of challenge they provide. I did not rage quit but I hadn't been so entertained in so long (since gen III maybe?)

With that said this is how it went
Raticate: was very easy thanks to my Crabrawler. Since they are 4x weak to Fight I did not have many troubles with them.
Wishiwashi: This one was hard. I almost lost since Dartrix was OHKOed right away. My stupid Pichu refused to evolve so it was OHKOed also. Mudbray, OHKO. Belive it or not, it was the combination of Brionne and Cutiefly what won this. I don't even know how.
Salazzle:Laughably easy. Thanks to a critical hit from a Scald from Brionne I one shotted this one. It didn't even have time to call any help.
Lurantis: This one was really hard. Thanks to the stupid Castform it OHKOed almost my entire team. This one was close, Ribombee killed Lurantis but was killed by Castform, but then Mudsdale KOed it. Funny that the one pokemon I didn't want to bring to the trial won it for me.
Vikavolt: This one was SUPER hard because most of my team was weak to it and the only one that wasn't weak to it couldn't damage it in return (I had Primarina, Raichu, Incineroar, Toucannon all were OHKOed) Mudsdale did nothing (Double Kick did barely anything) in the end a bunch of Heavy Slams were what finally killed it
Mimikyu- I didn't think this one would be so hard. Again, killed most of my team (including my Incineroar, which was supposed to be my ace here). I only had Mudsdale left and thought I would lose but then.... Heavy Slam KOed in one hit.
Kommo-o: OHKOed by Primarina with Moonblast. Even easier than Salazzle since it didn't even more first lol.

The way the trials are set up, you basically get Pokemon that are good with the next one

Here are my Totem Battle experiences so far:

VS Totem Raticate
This battle was surprisingly easy. Like so easy I had to take a minute to contemplate what just happened. My level 14 Munchlax OHKOd Totem Raticate with Brick Break; it didn’t even get the chance to call for help. It was both hilarious and anticlimactic. I like to think that my Munchlax was pretty peeved at the Alolan Rattata for stealing his food to give to Totem Raticate. Thus Munchlax was pretty fired up and ended up creaming T-Raticate unapologetically. :ROFLMAO:

I know that Alolan Raticate have a double weakness to Fighting, but T-Raticate had a defense boost and my Munchlax lacked STAB. That being said, the Normalium Z became mine for the taking.

VS Totem Wishiwashi

This battle was the complete opposite of Totem Raticate. It’s also what I consider my true introduction to Totem Pokémon battles as well as what GF had in mind for such phenomena. On this dark and stormy night (literally!), I started with Pikachu who was able to get off a successful paralysis on Totem Wishiwashi. T-Wishwashi then summoned a Solo Wishiwashi who Pikachu OHKOed the next turn. Guess you could say we rained on his parade (Haha). I was pretty confident with how the battle was going at this point, despite the wonderful endless rain T-Wishiwashi was enjoying, until T-Wishiwashi summoned an Alomomola. Then everything went down under (see what I did there?).

At this point, Pikachu had gotten T-Wishiwashi down to orange health. Thus I immediately thought it would revert to its Solo Form and make the rest of the battle easy. NOPE! It had a freaking Sitrus Berry (which I admit, I was impressed at seeing) shooting its health right back up to near full. Secondly, this Alomomola had Healer (of course) which, despite a 30% chance of activation, healed T-Wishiwashi of its paralysis (of course). At this point, T-Wishiwashi had regained a huge advantage and I knew if Pikachu stayed in, it would inevitably be overwhelmed and knocked out. Luckily I was able to recall him and switch in my trusted partner, Dartrix.

Dartrix had an easier time than Pikachu did, as well as the bulk to withstand Alomomola and T-Wishiwashi’s onslaught. Since Alomomola used Heal Pulse twice, the battle took longer and became one of endurance. Thankfully though, Razor Leaf kept up consistent damage (with occasional crits) and ultimately knocked out both them simultaneously; Dartrix was a lifesaver.

I really liked this fight, as well as the trial in general. It also made me realize I did right in choosing Rowlet as my starter. (y)

VS Totem Salazzle
This fight was a near mirror version of my first Totem Battle. Poor Totem Salazzle. I think she really wanted to do something, anything really. But my freshly evolved Lycanroc was not letting that happen. I knew T-Salazzle wouldn’t be nearly as bulky as T-Wishiwashi, but I still didn’t expect her to go down as fast as she did. After using a single Torment, she was OHKOd by my Lycanroc’s Rock Tomb. No chance to use her pheromones to command help. I didn’t laugh so much at this one as I did with Munchlax.

I left the volcano disappointed. Disappointed in the ease of Kiawe’s Trial (despite being the most serious looking Trial Captain), disappointed by how easily T-Salazzle was defeated and disappointed that I was disappointed.

VS Totem Lurantis

I think I have a trend going on with my Totem Battles. The odd numbered battles seem to be walks in the park, whereas the even numbered battles actually require effort. By that logic, Totem Lurantis should have been difficult. Rest assured, because she was.

First off, this thing was fast. Ridiculously fast. Sharply boosted speed did wonders for it (especially since its other stats are pretty decent and bulky). None of my team could keep up, despite it having its speed lowered by paralysis. Yup, it even outsped my Salandit and Pikachu while paralyzed!

Anyways, the battle started with me sending in Salandit against T-Lurantis. I fired off a Smog attack in hopes of poisoning her, but T-Lurantis brushed it aside. It then called a Trumbeak for assistance and quickly began to overwhelm Salandit. Before Salandit could move, she got tag teamed by Trumbeak’s critical Pluck and T-Lurantis’ Solar Blade. Solar Blade was actually a pretty cool sight to see! It sucks only Lurantis as a species gets it, especially when they have too low of a speed and poor typing defensively to execute it. Admiration aside, Salandit was promptly knocked out and I legitimately began to worry about what to do next.

I decided paralysis was my best bet (as well as a quick way to knock out Trumbeak), so I sent in Pikachu. Amazingly, Pikachu was able to last a turn successfully paralyzing T-Lurantis. However, that was all it was able to do-T-Lurantis and Trumbeak got it down to 1 HP (thank you Pokémon Refresh!), so I knew I had to switch. I decided to take my chance with Lycanroc next. It could easily OHKO Trumbeak, given T-Lurantis didn’t get off a Grass type move (at this point, I knew its move-set was Solar Blade, which needed a turn charge, Synthesis and X-Scissor). Lycanroc was able to do just that. Thankfully, T-Lurantis’ Solar Blade didn’t go off due to paralysis, so I switched to Dartrix to finish the job. Dartrix was able to get off several Plucks, but they were all rendered moot because T-Lurantis kept spamming Synthesis. Before I knew it, T-Lurantis called for help once more.

Hello Castform! Immediately, it changed the weather with Sunny Day, putting Dartrix at a disadvantage. I correctly predicted a Fire-type Weather Ball, and was able to switch Dartrix back for Lycanroc. Lycanroc was then able to OHKO Castform while T-Lurantis struggled to fire Solar Blade again due to paralysis (thanks Pikachu! <3). At this point, I took the time to revive and heal Salandit while Dartrix endured T-Lurantis’ attacks (I learned here that it also knows Razor Leaf; thank goodness it didn’t use that against Lycanroc at any point). Eventually I switched back to Salandit, so she could get glorious revenge. Through usage of Flame Charge, Z-Move Ember (Inferno Overdrive?), and several Dragon Rages (damn Synthesis spam), Salandit finally did it and defeated T-Lurantis. That was difficult! I had to use four of my team members (Stufful and Sylveon weren’t at a high enough level) for this Totem Battle.

I honestly I thought I would lose at first, but thankfully everyone was able to keep going and secure victory. As I’m writing this, I have three more Trials to go and will post my experiences once they’ve been completed.

@Karamazov
Credit for making the splendid list
  • Raticate: Nothing memorable.
  • Wishiwashi: Cool game here. I had to reset a few times because the damn fish wouldn't die to my Pikachu and Rowlet/Dartrix's attacks.
  • Salazzle: After 5 resets due to dying from its incredible speed and power, I went and fished for a Wishiwashi myself, raised it for the schooling and went and used a Water Z to OHKO the salamander.
  • Lurantis: This thing was pure hell. It summoned Castform and kept spamming one-turn Solar Blades with Sunny Day in effect. Though, my Dartrix held up reasonably well with the help of a few healing items. And my Sylveon helped stall.
  • Vikavolt: I was considering going back to catch a fire-type pokemon, but pffft... Lycanroc swept with Rock Tomb.
  • Mimikyu: Another difficult challenge. Lowering its initial speed by Rock Tomb did not help. After 3 tries, I started off with paralyzing it with Alolan Raichu and then battling from there. It worked.
  • Kommo-o: My Sylveon knew Moon Blast by then. Kommo-o was down before it could call a friend.

They were mostly difficult for me, but I enjoyed the challenge. I even rage-quitted once while fighting Lurantis because it was getting on my nerves. But overall, they were nice changes, and it was nice to fight difficult battles again.

I just fought Totem Gumshoos in Sun. My Litten solo'd it and outsped Gumshoos despite taking two Scary Faces. It was an even easier fight than Totem Raticate, since this thing has terrible, terrible speed.

I don't think I had a problem with any of the totems I faced. I managed to be decently leveled through the entire game too. I didn't really have to grind once. Just took on every single trainer I came across. (I discovered I missed a few.. made sure to curb stomp them with my beautiful champion team.) I was never wiped out. My team was surprisingly well balanced to the point that I never really had to swap them that often.

I can't even remember how those fights really went or who I used anymore. It was in, out, done. Shiny diamond rock get.

Good grief did those Totems ever give me, well grief. I have to say that I LOVED how difficult they were with their intelligent combos and strategies. (It also helped that I was under leveled for most of the game since I didn't use the EXP. Share or grind until the near end of the game). I think there was literally only one battle where I didn't get near swept.

Gumshoos- I only had one established team member here, which was Litten along with a Ledyba and Pikipek I'd been using for backup. If it weren't for Lebyba learning Reflect right before the battle, we would have lost. Pikipek's Rock Smashes and Echoed Voices were what finally took out Gumshoos which left Litten able to get rid of Yungoos.

Wishiwashi-This was pure hell. I had 3 Pokemon weak to water (Torracat, Rockruff, and a Mubray I let tag along for a while), an under-leveled Fomantis I brought along for the ride, and my Cutiefly. Once again, if it weren't for Cutiefly weakening our foes with Struggle Bug we would have lost. Dual Rain boosted Water Guns, Soak to get rid of STAB, Sitrus Berry, Alomomola healing Wishiwashi, I don't even know how we came out alive, but we did. We finally got Wishiwashi's HP low enough so school deactivated, but if that hadn't happened, we would have been fish food:eek:

Salazzle-Boosted Sp. Attack plus poison tactics made this battle yet another struggle. These lizards kept poisoning everything any chance they got which allowed for the other to take it out with Venoshock or some other move that has bonus against poisoned Pokemon. And then of course it had a berry to boost its special attack. I only had one Pokemon with an advantage, Rockruff, who was able to use Rock Tomb to slow the beast down and eventually take it out.

Lurantis-This one was the only totem to actually defeat me. Boosted speed, the damn Castform with Sunny Day and Weather Ball, annoying ass Trumbeak, 1-turn Solar Blade due to sun and Power Herb and high powered X-Scissor and my team was out, even with Pa'u Oricorio lowering Lurantis's attack to the limit with Feather Dance. I really don't even know who we won the second time since I literally didn't even change my strategy. I think it may be that I was able to quickly defeat Casform with a Blaze boosted Inferno Overdrive when the sun faded away since it had regular effect rather than being nve. (I wanted my Cutiefly to be the one to take out the Totem if anyone is wondering why I didn't just use the Inferno Overdrive on Lurantis:P)

Vikavolt-Somehow this Totem was the easiest despite me being the least prepared for it. Moyane had already taken out most of my team and like an idiot I didn't heal afterwards as I was sure the Totem battle wouldn't actually happen in that building:/ Fortunately, my healthy Pokemon were the ones that had an advantage, Torracat and Lycanroc. Lycanroc did a great bit of damage with Continental Crush and was able to take Vikavolt's hits pretty well. Then I just had him finish off Vikavolt and take out Charjabug.

Mimikyu-I gave her my own personal nickname, Mimikiller, since this thing was an absolute beast. It one shot my Ribombee, Torracat, and Lycanroc in quick succession before I could do any real damage to it. It was thanks to my Tsareena lowering its attack with Trop Kick that we were able to win.

Kommo-o-Due to the nature of this battle we were all heavily over-leveled. So the battle must have been a snap right? Wrong. This thing took out my Ribombee with Flash Cannon after she was only able to paralyze it with Stun Spore (Bullet Proof blocks Pollen Puff apparently:/). Then it took out my Tsareena, but fortunately she was able to lower its attack with Trop Kick. Tried to use Lycanroc to slow it with Rock Tomb, but he was too slow and got knocked out. Thankfully, I'd just gotten my Sensu Oricorio (thanks to someone who traded me some purple nectar) who was able to stand up to the duo and take out Hakamo-o. Then my Torracat made quick work of Scizor and Oricorio finished off Kommo-o.

So yeah, I had a blast with the Totems. They were awesome and a great change up from the 20 year old bland and boring gym challenge.

I just beat the Fire Totem today.

I think the first Totem being normal was a good choice from a design perspective - a giant-sized evolved Pokemon that is rightly intimidating.

I absolutely loved the Water Totem battle. I was able to set up some defenses against it (paralysis + Sand Attacks + Struggle Bugs) and although the battle went slowly it was epic. Especially the finish -- I took a chance sending in my starter Torracat, who dodged four Water Guns IN A ROW to land the winning hits.

The Fire Totem battle was quite surprising, though I feel like we're getting just a little spoiled seeing evolved forms as Totem Pokemon (meaning it's little surprise when your own Pokemon evolves into that). My team was actually not fully prepared for this one, despite having Rockruff, Mudbray, and Fletchinder (and of course Torracat). Design commentary aside, Salazzle hit hard and fast, which made it difficult to do much of anything. If my Mudbray was higher level I could've just Bulldozed the lot of them off the field, but as it was I could only get in one of those before I started taking KOs.

The last totem, Kommo-o, was actually my easiest fight lol. My Ribombee knocked it out with a single Dazzling Gleam, iirc.

Totem Gumshoos: Fairly easy imo, as I got the Adamant Machop in a trade in the nearby Pokemon Center.

Totem Wishiwashi: I remember having some trouble with this, and feeling somewhat panicked when its School form was able to deliver some pretty solid KOs to my team.

Totem Salazzle: Harder than I would have liked, as it OHKO'd my Dugtrio with Flame Burst. The rest of my team were somewhat susceptible to Fire/Poison moves.

Totem Lurantis: The hardest fight for me, due to the Sunny Day/Solar Blade combination and that I was insistent that the weaker members of my team get some KOs in, and my strongest member (Brionne) was obviously weak to the moves. In the end I had to use my Toucannon to finish the battle.

Totem Vikavolt: This one was...actually kind underwhelming. I unknowingly had my Dugtrio in front when the fight began, and so all the Vikavolt could realistically do was use Charge. This would have likely been a LOT harder for me had I not kept Dugtrio in front.

Totem Mimikyu: Not too hard, honestly, but it did manage to get some KOs on my team as I underestimated how strong its Attack was.

Totem Kommo-o: Probably the most disappointing, as I one-shotted the totem with my Primarina's Moonblast. I can't complain, as it was a clean victory, but as the final totem I wish it would have been harder.

Overall, they were great fun.

Blessed that we had some challenges this time around~ It was no where near a cake walk, despite only being against two Pokemon~ I'm thoroughly pleased, but I didn't enjoy being wrecked so much~ XP

Alolan Raticate: Pretty easy~ I had a Cutiefly and Fairy Wind made it a clean 2HKO~

Wishiwashi: I literally got wrecked, LMAO~ It swept through my weak ass team. The 2nd time around, it decided to soak for whatever reason, making us resist it's STAB. But I was about to scream when Alomomola came out to Heal Pulse and Helping Hand Support~ I was actually shocked GF thought of it that far though~ :o It was like a legit doubles team~

Salazzle: Toxic + Venoshock tag team literally almost did me in, but I'm pretty sure I just barely beat this thing in a single visit and only because I grabbed a Mudbray that was able to slow them down. Seriously, the AI is so good, I'm almost shocked they didn't drop in a Mareanie with Merciless~

Lurantis: I don't remember Lurantis for some reason, TBH, because I think I may have one or 2HKO'd it. I'm serious, I don't remember having troubles with it and I did have a Oricorio, Cutiefly or Ribombee, and Torracat at the time, so I had plenty to deal with it.

Vikavolt: Again, didn't really have any issues with Torracat around. Probably around the same difficultly as Lurantis.

Mimikyu: The second Totem to defeat me, LOL, this thing is a monster and you can't even damage it first turn. And it's allies are Haunter and Gengar with Hypnosis! Plus, my entire team is slow AF so you can guess how this battle turned out, even Incineroar couldn't even get a Dark Attack off, which Mimikyu itself is neutral to. I literally didn't expect such a cutie (and my little mascot) to be so tough but had to do some real grinding to get it the second time around.

Kommo-o: This battle wasn't super hard, but wasn't easy either. I had about 3 Fairies on my team, but again, most of them were either slow or not strong enough to take it out. Not to mention he just so happen to have Scizor as an Ally to deal with them~ -______- But In the end, not too much of a struggle despite my Fairies having a counter.

Overall, as hard as they were, super fun battles and I loved the fact that they eventually got to a point where they had counters to Pokemon that they were weak to or just did good strategy together (Alomomola, Salandit, Mimikyu).

In general, the totem battles were fairly easy for me. (A lot of times I had a Pokemon with STAB to wipe them out fast-Alakazam on Salazzle, Magnezone on Wishiwashi, Primarina for Kommo-o, and so on) Mimikyu got pretty hard with all the allies it summoned, though, and Lurantis completely kicked my tail-Castform showed up and let me get absolutely smashed with Solar Blade.
