I'm currently considering what to do with the current setup on the Bulbagarden gallery, either changing the software, or sticking with the same one but having it use a seperate user database to the BMGf one. I'd like to know everyone's thoughts here. Should we stick with the current method of doing things? Could things be improved in any way?

I don't know what other kind of software for art galleries is out there, but maybe it would be for the best if we had a separate user database from the forums, like you said.

I'll try to do a little research on the matter later.

One thing I don't like about our current gallery is that all of my albums are on the front page and that seems a bit innapropiate and unfair to the other users. I never found a way to remove them from there. ^^;

It seems there that you added those as top level category folders, instead of just the regular user folders. ^^;; To fix those, you'd have to delete the folders, and reupload things in the regular way (possibly turning off your admin privileges while you were doing that).

The latest version of the Coppermine software that we're using now has vB integration inbuilt, rather than the hacked together way we've got it working now. Once I do that upgrade, it should work a lot better.

I don't really know too much about this, so I'm probably saying something ignorant, but I think what would be useful is to have a function to browse through the full selection of albums similar to the individual picture browser.

Basically what I'm saying is in place of where Alex's albums are on the main screen (a fact that doesn't bother me, and please tell me if you mind me calling you by name, Kasu) would be something like "Browse all albums." Clicking that would bring you to the index of all existing albums, where you'd go on to select the one you want to view.

Boy, I hope that made sense...
