Aestivate
Hi everyone! It's Jess, aka. AESTIVATE, resident shipper, anime forums troll and occasional serious poster.

aestivation (n.) - a state of hibernation/animal inactivity that is entered in response to high temperatures and arid conditions. it takes place during times of heat and dryness.

I'm 18 years old, will be 19 in December, and during times I'm not aestivating, I attend university as a psychology pre-med major with a focus on child and adolescent mental health.

As you can see from my educational aims, none of these have to do with music... Of which is surprisingly a huge part of my life.

I've been singing since I could talk, even though I've never taken formal lessons. I started to pick up clarinet from the 4th grade on, and learned piano for a brief 1.5 year stint in middle school, before my mother and piano teacher got into a bitch fight over the phone and I was told that I was "never going to see that bitch ever again."

Oh well, all water under the bridge.

What got me into singing/music seriously was my involvement in my high school choir, marching band, symphonic band, and theatre. My high school has a select choir of which I was the choir mistress/secretary... Other music nerd-worthy positions I occupied include drum major, concert mistress, lead clarinetist... etc. Band/choir were havens for me in hs because they were both HUGE and yet all the people were cool, all of my friends were in it, and the teachers were my mentors.

Even in university, music extends through every orifice of my life - it's something I have in common with others, it's a stress-reliever, it's the reason I can focus on studying, it's a white-noise filter...

Music is the median in which I can fully communicate with my peers and the rest of my world. When words fail, music survives. I love music in all forms, shapes and sizes - I listen to everything, seriously. Oldies and goodies, stuff on the radio, stuff not on the radio, some rap, punk rock hands (my all-time favorite band, Something Corporate is a punk band!), legends, classical, choir... Even if I don't know about a specific genre I'll likely find something I like about it, provided there are lyrics/melodies/harmonies that can sweep me away. My relationship with music is not just intimate, but empathetic. That said I'm also partial to music I can sing along to. x]

I love the idea of Bulbagarden Idol, because everyone is a) super-duper talented~ and because b) I love that so many people are willing to share their passions and talent. I signed up because I think it'd really be quite fun :3

Feliciano

Hello! My name is Feliciano, and due to a temporary bout of insanity, I'm going to be participating in Bulbagarden Idol. I hope to just have a good time and not embarrass myself too much, really. To be honest, I don't think I'll make it that far Still, I love music - I've always got some headphones in my ears or something playing in the background. I even played the clarinet for 8 straight years, and still would be were it not for college. I know I'm not the greatest in the world, but I do like to sing, and I'm definitely not as bad at it as I could be. I like all sorts of music, from musicals to The Killers, though I tend to shy away from rap and most anything made after the late 90's.

Well, enough rambling from me. Best of luck to everyone!

Hellion

Hey everyone,

Name's Hellion. I participated in the first Bulbagarden Idol, and despite not being able to sing to save my life, I had a blast, and made it far into the competition. I'm just looking to have a blast again and subject people to the torture that is my voice. I've got eclectic tastes that range anywhere from Cat Stevens to Lady Gaga, from the MGMT and Franz Ferdinand to the Spice Girls. If the theme allows it, you might even have the displeasure to hear me sing in French. I don't take myself seriously and I don't mind poking fun at myself while singing.

Looking forward to hearing everyone sing!

SS_Jup81

TeamGalacticMercury

Hi. I'm TeamGalacticMercury, and I am 13 years old. I expect Bulbagarden Idol to be a lot of fun, and a good opportunity for people to show their talents against other people. I signed up because I love singing (whether I am good at it or not) and I like to try new things (and this is a new thing for sure)! I have been singing since I was able to understand music enough to sing, as well as playing the trumpet and french horn. I am an alto in the school choir, and have sung the Star Spangled Banner for the school talent show. I love music because it helps me get away from my stressful life as an honor student that's very involved in the school. I love almost all music, so choosing a favorite is hard, but I would have to say that Avril Lavigne and Jack Johnson are the artists I listen to most.

The Puppetmaster

Winged Psychic

I'm Winged Psychic and I'm an Australian guy in who hasn't really seen much of the world yet. I'm in highschool and I signed up because I love music and I thought this would be a good experience. I hope that I'll be able to listen to the wonderful performances of everybody and have a load of fun. I don't really have much musical experience and I'm always trying to improve. I love music because it let's people be expressive and it affects people emotionally. I like listening to japanese music as well as english music. I'm a big fan of Angela Aki, Uverworld, M-Flo, Utada Hikaru, Perfume and Boys Like Girls. I also like vocaloid songs.

Hellion - Human

@Axle Hellion-kun
Me being a huge fan of the Killers, I loved it, even though why they say "Dancer" when comparing humans to something else. Anyways, no problem hearing you, and that might have been a problem. Be careful, going high up in pitch and trying to put feeling into something may result in shouting. I counted a couple times when you did this. Now the only problem with shouting, is that that's as high as you go, and if your holding a note for a moderate amount of time it sounds loud and monotone for too long even though it's only a few seconds. Otherwise I thought your pitch was on, you put a lot of feeling into it, and besides those two moments, I was really enjoying it!

Your score is......
8.5/10

Hellion--Human
It was fun listening too, but it was a little monotone at some points--like Derier said. The chorus sounded great, I loved it. I have a question though--when you said human it sounded like 'you-men', would this be the cause of an accent or anything, or just words being slurred to others or snipped a little?

Aestivate - God Knows

Judging @Aestivate
Music: God Knows

Great song. Also you sang great! Great song, great voice. It's just... Freaking Beautiful! Also, a long song. Very emotional sound, like happy and the other emotions! You could really hear it! One of the best songs I heard before! Alot of music, but also alot of text. A good combination of these two, and the song is great. Something you showed by choosing this song!

9/10!

@Aestivate
Wow, I was honestly impressed. Your voice is very toned and strong and you handle going up high in pitch very well. One thing I noticed was that you just need to hold your pitches better when you are holding a note. Otherwise I thought it had a good sense of emotion and when you went high or low in pitch to really hit a note you hit it very well.

Your score is....

Aestivate—God Knows Unmixed
Goodness your voice is lovely! I love the confidence you have while singing, very pretty. You also kept pitch pretty well, and rhythm. It was very good. There were some points were you faltered a little, I’m assuming you may have been losing your breath—the song was pretty fast, and I applaud you for keeping up.

SSJ_Jup81 - Eien no Kagayaki YouTube and Download

Entry: @SSJ_Jup81

This sounds great! It may be a little soft, but you can still hear it! I think the text is good, and it's great that you used Japanese music :)D Japan!). Great music, and it make's a little twist in the other music I heard (Mostly Sonic or Pokémon...)! Like Tsutarja said, it seems to be lacking emotions. But that doesn't change (nearly) anything! For the rest...

It's awesome!

I rate it...

08/10
Or 4/5, if I may only rate till five...

1z1y4n4.png

@SSJ_Jup81
Lets start off by saying your voice has great potential, but the fact that you had to sing so quietly because of your situation doesnt give us the full effect. But otherwise your Japanese sounded great and from what I could hear and from hearing the original song your pitches were basically there. I can't wait until next week when we can hopefully here your voice at full blast and really hear those high's and those lows. One thing that I believe you can improve is on really singing the song. Pour emotion into it so we can feel what the song is really about!

SSJ_Jup81--Eien no Kagayaki
Something says to me your voice would sound lovely with a slow and whispery love song XD—I am aware you were in a hotel at the time. I think you did very well considering you had to sing quietly (I know I tend to scream when I’m singing to make sure it’s picked up XD). Mmm, I liked the chorus best—that sounded fantastic!

Badal - I'm Yours

Badal adoré! Your voice vas a little weak, but that could have been your micraphone, non?
If not you need to put more le pouvoir, more power, into your singing I happen to like that song so I know it preety well, you hit most of the notes which I congratulate you on keep working on your voice and you will become très awesome!

Sorry, I forgot to judge your song! Ok, it sounds... Awesome! Still, sometimes it seems your muttering. Great, that you change form louder to softer, at just the right times. Still, sometimes I can hear that you missed a few parts. It sounds emotional, and overal... One big song listed in this post!

9/10!

@Badal
A good cover of I'm Yours to be sure. A few good things I noticed are that you have a good range of pitch and at parts you can really feel emotion. A few critisisms, you have a good range of pitch but at times it gets really pitchy. Since I could here the origonal voicing in the background you could tell if it got a little out where it was supposed to be, not to include your own pitch changes that you might have included. Another little part was the second part (Draw a new face in the mirror part) it started off a little rushed and when you were catching up it also got a little pitchy again. Because the middle/end of the first part was probably the best part for me, going between pitch, emotion, and just overall sounding great. That being said, for next week just control your pitch a little better and just let it flow, because there was a lot of emotion in there but at times it did seem a little forced, especially the faster parts. Overall great job!

Wow that was good *dances* I love this song. I think one thing you could work on is lifting your pallet a little more so the sound is less pinched. Very good!

Great song. I sometimes hear that your muttering. Don't worry, I have that too! Great music, but I can't hear it very well! Maybe make them stronger! Another one with a good voice... Wow, sure are alot! I liked this song, it's Japanese, isn't it? I... Love... Japanese songs! Just like my favorite Songs. Really great!

7/10!

@Yoshi-san
I really liked it, I think you have a great voice and I also liked the song choice. Felt a lot of emotion in it and your voice was defiantly a good fit for the song. Two things that stuck out to me were that at points you seemed to mutter a bit, but that happens to everyone and you just move on. Another thing is it seemed a little pitchy but you do have a good range as from what I could tell from the song. Overall good job!

Yoshi-San—Focus
Your clarity needs a little work, but you did good staying on track (it can be hard to sing in another language). I also suggest a little more pronunciation with the vowels and more diction. Say it with me: Diction is done with the tip of the tongue and the teeth ;)

CommanderPigg - Animal

Judging @CommanderPigg
Music: Animal

Great start, perfect music. Good voice, great text. And the song is great! I really like this song. I really enjoyed this! Another great song I heard this day. Really, finally a few people that can sing! Three already! (all of you! Ssjup, Commander and Aestivate! All great!). Still sounds weird: "Oh, oh! I want some more!". Let's me think of weird things... o_O But still, a great choice! Hope that the you will choose another great song next week!

8/10!

@CommanderPigg
Excuse me for a moment while I pick up my jaw..... That's was a seriously good take on Animal (almost like it better then the origonal :p). One thing I liked about it was the variation and flexibilty in pitch. You hit the high notes and were able to take it low when nessasary along with adding your own changes to the pitch of some notes making it yours. And I really felt the emotion when especially in the chorus. One thing though is that you have to be sure not to rush some parts (the "Uh Ohhhhhh's" in paticular) that require just the right amount of length. Otherwise I thought it was great!

Your score is......
9/10

Commanderpigg—Animal
OMGOSH! I’ve never heard Animal done by a girl before, and that was excellent. Your voice is so cute—and you have a fantastic range. I love that you took time to put the harmony and melody in together—I love to see that you can harmonize (very important to be able to sing more than a melody!)

Feliciano - Still Alive

Judging @Feliciano
Music: Still alive

Too bad you couldn't sing it hard. Still, with all my volumes at his highest, I could still hear it good. You seem to know the lyrics, adn you sang it pretty good. Also great music! You do seem to sing softer towards the end. Also, you can't really hear the emotional sides. But still, it is a good song. I don't know what/who portal is, but great you sang this song!

Your score is...
7/10!

@Feliciano
One of the best credits songs of all time, and I applaud you for your fantastic cover. For me it was no problem that you were singing quietly, just turned up the volume and put in some headphones. Seeing as the original singer was a psychotic, emotionless serial killer robot, I knew something was off when there was some feeling put into it, but I say that in a good way. Especially with a song like that and any song, working your own way into it is the best way to impress people with a great performance. Just a few pitch problems, a few might have been because of the volume but some weren't and thats fine. Great job!

Feliciano--Still Alive
Well, it required turning up every sound I could--you're very quiet, is it your mic?--but finally I was able to hear you.
I do know that when you sing quietly, your voice can drop a little lower and I think that may have happened--because, listening to the song, I noticed you seemed to have dropped to a different key signature. However, you stayed on that one which is good (because it's crazy when people go through six different key signatures D8) and you sang really well.
I think because the song originally has a robotic feel to it, that it's a little harder to put emotion into a song like this--but you did very well with it. I hope you'll sing a little louder for us next time =), cute song.

7.5/10

gotpika - Pokémon Johto

*cough cough*

I liked it if it counts for anything. The only problem was that it was really pitchy. Be sure to listen to the song and sing with it to make sure your pitch's are where they have to be. On the bright side, besides that one things I think you did it up good and that you have a good voice and you put a lot of feeling in it. Just be sure to get your pitch's down, because it threw the whole thing off when you got pitchy.

Your score is......
5.5/10

[/B]Gotpika--Johto Journey Theme
Wow--you do have a deep voice! While the original song is a bit more light, your version of it almost sounds country. You would have a very nice country singing voice--I am certain of this. It did sound like you were yelling a little, but I would too if my mic was picking up... whatever that was. I think you have a very nice voice, to be honest.

Unique choice! You also sing great. And a other choice than the most users will choose! Also, fun with the Venipede as background. This is something I will remember, as the first song from BMGf that is unique! Also, fun with those dark, song... o_O Sounds very mysterious.

8/10!

@Domino White
Very strong voice and great performance. Barley a pitch problem and a good range as well. To agree with Aestivate let your voice ring as opposed to forcing it and forcing it to ring. Otherwise your voice sounded like a great fit for the song and dont worry, I dont compare you to Lucy T. Slut =P. My favorite part was probably the ending when you said "You've got it hard for meeeeeeeeeee" then whet on to repeat "You've got it" in multiple pitches". Next week just let it flow in both aspects of letting it ring and singing from the chest. And the Vennipede was cool too.

Domino White—Special
Very creative pick—I was pretty interested in it, because it wasn’t so much of singing as lyrical speaking, but on the words that were sung it was lovely. You have a very nice and sultry voice—haha, that can be used to your advantage! Super sexy!

The Puppetmaster - Better Love

Judging @The Puppetmaster
Music: Better Love Cover

Sounds great! First time I heard this music. The voice is good, especially with this song. But sometimes, the words doesn't seem to fit with the tune that is played at that moment. That didn't happen a lot, hopefully. I also saw that you sometimes sing louder, adn then softer. I could just... feel the emotion! Can't wait till the next song!

8/10!

@The Puppetmaster
First off, I enjoyed it, and it was really good. Something I noticed was that your pitches weren't getting to where they were supposed to be, so at points it almost sounded monotone where it should have steadily risen to a big high note. I noticed this especially in the chorus when you overlapped your voice and you could detect pitch changes but nothing so significant that I was cheering in my head. Though, when you didnt overlap your voice you still didnt go very far with pitch (don't worry, I know you did have some big moments, but comparing it to the original it went a lot more places in pitch then you tended too) but it still sounded great and was dripping with the heavy emotion that it was intended to have. I think your voice is great and for next week just work on really exercising pitch so that it's interesting but not too much where it's pitchy. Overall great job!

Your score is.......
7.5/10(Not copying Hallow!)

The PuppetMaster—Better Love
I’ve told you this before—I like it best when you have a duet going on, I think having a harmony super compliments your voice. I can’t help but feel that Eisley songs hold you back a little (since I’ve heard you sing some before) because they are just a bit slow and simple, but you do excellent on the higher parts of the song.

7.5/10

Winged Psychic - Turning Tables

7.999999999999999999 out of ten!

@Winged Psychic
Listening to the origonal that was a great cover of Turning Tables. I noticed it seemed a little forced especially when you went up higher and towards the end you got pitchy but then when you did that big note (in Badel's words the opera voice) it all fell into place after that and flowed smoothly at the end. The parts that I thought were your shining moments were the parts where the music repeat and you would crecendo each line and then it went into the chorus. At those parts when your voice went deep and then to moderatly high it showed good control in pitch and I could feel real emotion. And the parts (I will be braver, I'll be your saviour or something to that line) also had deep emotion to them. So for next week just work on those high notes and just let it flow.

Your score is......
7.5/10

Winged Psychic—Turning Tables

Oh gosh that voice 8D super hawt. You use that low voice and you use it for all it’s worth—it sounds fantastic. There were some points where you sounded like you might be straining a little, but you stuck it out and got those notes. Awesome job, man!

I would sit at your feet and listen to you sing all day if I could. Your voice is very beautiful to me. I have the feeling that if you ever sang Time After Time it'd probably sound really awesome XD I don't know what else to say, because it's fantastic. You sang at an appropriate level--I can hear you, but my ears aren't throbbing because it's too loud, and none of the notes make me feel uncomfortable because you hit them right.

SSJ_Jup81 - I'm Too Sexy

Badal - I Want It That Way

Badal: I want it that Way

It was a little hard to focus on your voice, your recording had a lot of other noise in it and kind of drowned your voice out a little. What I could hear, though, was somewhat pinched sounding. Lift your pallet more--your pallet is the back part of the roof of your mouth, the part that rises when you yawn. Practice lifting it through yawning, and then lift it more when you sing to get a more open sound to your voice.

Yoshi-san - No Entry

CommanderPigg - Kiss Me

@CommanderPigg
Another great performance and song choice. This is a comment for everyone. The right song will make your week, the wrong with will throw it, it all starts with song choice. Back to you CP, my only complaint was that when you held a note, you didnt go anywhere with it. Just keep in mind when you hold notes be sure not to leave them hanging, give them something to do, whether it be fading them, or changing their pitch. Otherwise, you nailed it when it came to emotion, you killed the big parts, and other then holding the notes, your pitch was spot on. Great job.

Your score is.....

Commanderpigg: Kiss Me

Darn you--stop singing the songs I wanted to sing later >_>
No, really though--this was excellent, this is one of my favorite songs as well and my sister and I always sing it when it's too quiet XD. You sounded fantastic, you have such a sweet voice and it is so capable of diversity. I love that you have the ability to make your voice airy and light, as well as how well it sounds when you slide on certain notes in the song. Kiss Me is a song where sliding is required, and you do it magnificently.

@Domino White
I can see you like the heavy ended songs, or for better words with one with deeper pitch to them. I thought it was good and my only concern was that some parts felt like you were ringing the emotion and feeling out of them, and ironicly thats what you did best last week, really making the big parts bigger and letting them flow. Though, I can see last week's comments have taken shape and I thought it was a great cover. This week your big moments were in feeling and pitch. Next week just let it flow and an overall good job.

Your score is......

Domino White: Juke Joint Jezebel

Okay, I gotta say the opposite the others--I don't think your voice is low, I think the song is low. You got quiet in some areas where it got lower and lower, and that's a result of not being able to quite get that low so you get quiet and pass it off as 'almost the right note'. I think there is a certain low point you could reach through lyrical-speaking, something you did do, but not quite singing. The chorus sounded especially fantastic, because it was a little higher and you were able to fully hit all the notes through singing and not lyrical speech.

The Puppetmaster - Losing My Religion

The Puppetmaster: Losing my Religion

I have to scold you. Right now. You're singing a little lower then the song originally goes, and a little flatter. What have I told you mister about singing higher =P? And I know you can sing higher so I am gonna demand it! This wasn't that much of a difference though, something that could have occurred without even noticing, because it's really close. Other than that, great--the recording was really clean, your voice was consistent in sound (smooooth... which from me means that it didn't waver or break, it was smooth in transitions).

8/10

Winged Psychic - I Have Nothing

Winged Psychic: I Have Nothing

*gets out lighter and waves it in air* your voice sounds very nice; soft, relaxing, and calm. Until about 1:00, where it becomes more dramatic and louder--almost like a character in a musical suddenly realizing they need to pursue their dreams through adventure and yelling about it while packing to board a train. I liiiiked it. Just a liiiittle too loud at some points though, were you yelling to hit notes or were you yelling to put feeling into the song?

SSJ_Jup81--Looking For You

I'm sure you didn't mean it to be, but the beginning was hilarious XD. Well, you were real breathy and airy--plus, it sounded odd the way you were singing it, in a voice that isn't yours. I know it's hard not to sing a song the way the original singer sings it, but it's better to sing the right notes with your own voice than to attempt mimicking the original singer.

5/10

Badal - Beedi Jalaile

Badal--Beedi Jalaile

Wow--but for the static sound of the mic, I swear this sounded like something off TV. It was really nice, Badal, well done. A little loud at times, but that may be from the style of the song for all I know.

9/10

Yoshi-san - Wind

Yoshi-san--Wind

I like the song, but it just sounded awkward listening to it--like, something was really off... I can't put my finger on it. You sounded nasally, so try pinching your nose when you practice singing and sing more through your mouth. Interesting son choice, though.

4/10

CommanderPigg - Tong Hua (Fairy Tale)

CommanderPigg--Tong Hua

I am going to cry. This is gorgeous. Absolutely lovely, just amazing. Soooooo beautiful D=... the emotion in this is incredible. To anyone who doesn't speak this language, I don't think we'll ever notice any mistakes--it was amazing.

10/10

Domino White - Bard's Song

Domino White--Bard's Song

Really interesting song, I'm a sucker for a song with a nice classic guitar in it... your voice is very pretty, I love how you pronounce your vowels--it's different than what I usually hear, so I love it. Pretty song =)

9/10

The Puppetmaster - Justice and Mercy (Violent Love Version)

@The Puppetmaster
I liked it, however your voice was a bit shaky and some of the high notes and low notes were sketch Just try to keep your voice clear ans strong and try to sound as (or more) brave as you feel. Some notes were perfect which made this an all around good preformance.
I give you a (drumroll)
7.99999999 out of 10
@The Puppetmaster
Great performance, I really did enjoy it. I felt some real emotion in there, which is good seeing as thats the whole point of the song, its emotional. Anyways, I did find some problem in pitch mid-way through with you not reaching the note's potential. Also, when you repeat a word, be sure to contrast it, because then you almost sound like a broken record. So dont be afraid to take a not as high as it can go and bring contrast to the repeated words. Overall great job!

The Puppetmaster: Justice and Mercy

That was fantastic. There was a moment when I played both the original and yours together at once for fun and it matched up so well, incredible there. Beautiful! It did sound a little shaky at times, but I am just too impressed by the line-up!

10/10

Winged Psychic - Where the City Meets the Sea

Winged Psychic--Where the City Meets the Sea

... Have I told you your voice is hot? I think I have at some point... if not, your voice is hot. It has such a nice sound to it--very soothing. Try not to sing through your nose though, because your voice is too good to do that too. Stop being mean to it. Other than that, I love the song you chose--very nice. Again, less nasal.

Round 4
Theme: Love Songs

Hellion - You Belong with Me

Hellion--You Belong with me

I am absolutely certain you can sing this higher =P and you skimped out when it got higher, you started going monotone =(... good rythm though.

6/10

Aestivate - Jar of Hearts

Aestivate--Jar of Hearts

A little low for you, I think, but it sounds beautiful as usual--the sound of your voice is just so clear and... shiny. Are the harmonies supposed to be in sync, because they sound a little off--but then it gets on, which is lovely.

9/10

SSJ_Jup81 - Bailamos

SSJ_JUP81--Bailamos

What does Bailamos mean??
Very nice song, I imagine romantic and sexy dancing... cha-cha-cha~

7/10

Badal - Apologize

Badal--Apologize

Props for playing the guitar and singing =) you did excellent, and I love that you have the confidence to go that high. Sadly, you only did it once but then kinda fizzled out every time that note came up again--remember to keep that confidence and not fizzle out!

7/10

Yoshi-san - Super Lover

Yoshi-san--Super Love

There's too much extra sound and the music is a little too loud as well--I didn't even realize you were singing in another language. As for what I can hear of you, same as I usually say. More stomach in your singing!

6/10

CommanderPigg - My Heart Will Go On

CommanderPigg--My Heart Will Go On

*faint* I think I have sheet music for this somewhere for the piano... I may just learn it now, because of this entry. That was incredible, CommanderPigg!

10/10

Domino White - Bright Eyes

Domino White--Bright Eyes

Mmmmmm, this was beautiful. It was a yummy treat for my ears =) I'm really impressed with your entry this week!

10/10

The Puppetmaster - For the Longest Time

The Puppetmaster--For the Longest Time

Love it when you sing high--good boy :3 You were a little off in some spots, but still nice sounding.

8/10

Winged Psychic - Somebody to Love

Winged Psychic--Somebody to Love

This one... didn't feel like you were singing as much as rythmically speaking. And it was pretty nasally. It just felt a little void of emotion--so, definitely work on singing less through your nose and more through your stomach.

CommanderPigg - My Heart Will Go On

Round 5
Theme: Songs from Movies

Hellion - Flashdance...What a Feeling

Hellion: I just couldn't hear you. Your voice was way too quiet, and the video had distortion. I had to go through the programs and turn my volume up quite a bit. But your voice was good, and the song you choose really fits your personality. With proper editing and a little more passion for the song, this could have easily gotten a higher rating, sorry. Also, I forgot to turn down the volume when I listened to another song. o_0
6.2/10

Aestivate - Iridescent

Aestivate: The harmonies were great. You usually do cuter, slightly peppier songs, but you took a risk with this soft and soothing song and succeeded. It started to "derail" at the end, in a way. And you're right - the men's chorus is epic!
7.8/10

SSJ_Jup81 - No Entry

Badal - No Entry

Yoshi-san - No Entry

CommanderPigg - When Will My Life Begin

CommanderPigg: It was pretty cute. :3 It was a little pitchy at the beginning (people always improve during the song, don't they?). I know I'm going to be singing this later on. ^^
7.6/10

Domino White - Epiphany

Domino White: Not your best stuff, but it was pretty fun. A little too much emphasis on the 'p' sounds. I liked it a lot, and the shiny Swoobat was a nice touch.
7/10

The Puppetmaster - Something I Can Never Have

The Puppetmaster: Not bad, actually. You started off really shaky at the beginning, and you didn't recover until near the one minute mark. I didn't like the song itself, but your cover really made it shine.
7.2/10

Winged Psychic - Go the Distance

Winged Psychic: I personally think your voice didn't fit the song. Maybe I'm used to the other versions. Your voice is really, really good, but it doesn't really work with this song. It was a good entry overall.

Aestivate - Iridescent

Round 6
Theme: Contemporary Songs

Hellion - Hot N Cold

Hellion--Hot N' Cold

Perfect, you are in the right range for you voice--be careful not to go flat when sliding (meaning, don't go barely further then you are supposed to slide, giving it that hint of flatness).

7/10

@Hellion
Defiantly a very good cover. I thought that your pitch was perfect and was your emotion. The only problem was in the chorus the last word was being cut off by you needing to take a breath. My advice in this scenario would be to hide your breathing better because it made the words sound cut off and rigid. But an over all great job!

8/10

Aestivate - Let It Out

Aestivate--Let it Out

Harmonies felt a little off, I didn't enjoy this entry so much as I have the past ones =( I did really like the melody though, very strong.

9/10

@Aestivate
That was fantastic performance all around. Your pitch, emotion, and all else was spot on and this was defiantly a top performance this week. Overall great job!

SSJ_Jup81 - Almateria

SSJ_Jup81--Almateria

I understand voice ranges and being unable to sing a song in its original voice range, but I really think you are singing too low for both the song and for your voice. I think you can go higher, and I am going to encourage you to do so.

6/10

@SSJ_Jup81
It was a good cover but your voice is to low for the song. Like Hallow, I encourage you to pick a song more suited for such. Also, you were a bit pitchy in some parts but it was defiantly good in the emotion part of it. Also, the volume of your voice I thought was a little to low, but that may be for other reasons.

Another awesome performance to be sure. You were perfect in all aspects and your voice was great for the song. Great Job!!!!!

Domino White - White and Nerdy

Domino White--White and Nerdy

Why you all try to sing so low!? Embrace your ranges and use them--you sounded excellent on the pieces where you do sing, and the areas where it is rhythmic you were very well timed.

7/10

@Domino White
That was a pretty good cover, that song always made me laugh. I understand that you were rapping pretty fast but it was just pitchy in places but I thought it was a great cover.

The Puppetmaster - Someday

The Puppetmaster--Someday

8D... this has to be my most favorite entry of yours ever. EVER!! I feel you really got into your natural voice range here and used it with confidence. I loved loved loved it!

10/10

@The Puppetmaster
Great Performance!!!!! Thought everything was spot on and the only thing I could have asked for was that your voice be softer in some sections, like the beginning. OVer all Great Job!

Winged Psychic - Gives You Hell

Winged Psychic--Gives you Hell

Very good, good rhythm and good job on being less nasal. Major improvement from the last time I heard you sing.

8/10

@Winged Psychic
That was a pretty good cover. I was on the rail about the way you did the lyrics though. I like the way you made it your own and it sounded good at some parts but at others it sounded like a mistake. But in pitch and emotion it was great. Overall good job!

Your score is.....

Round 7
Theme: Country Music

Wolverine (Hellion) - Man, I Feel Like a Woman!

Wolverine: Welp. I love it. It was hilarious and adorable! It was really flat near the beginning, but you sort of got better as you went on. This song really fits your voice, dude.
8/10

Aestivate - Temporary Home

Aestivate: Amazing. Simply amazing. I absolutely love it! You have emotion, your voice matches the song, and your voice is grand.
10/10

SSJ_Jup81 - Won't Break Down

SSJ_Jup81: It was so cute! Your accent was awesome. There wasn't a lot of emotion in it, but other than that, it you sound like an authentic country music star.

7.9/10

Badal - No Entry

Yoshi-san - No Entry

CommanderPigg - I Hope You Dance

CommanderPigg: Once again, you've outdone yourself. Because it was a little soft, there was a bit of a problem with emoting. All-in-all, it was really great. As usual.
8/10

Domino White - Love at the Five and Dime

Domino White: I think this is your best entry yet. Your voice was so emotional, and it really worked. This would really benefit with the original music in the background.
8/10

The Puppetmaster - When It Rains

The Puppetmaster: Boy, everyone seems to have upped their game this week, and you're no exception. Quite honestly, it was really great!
9/10

Winged Psychic - Kiss a Girl

Winged Psychic: Now this is a song that fits your voice! In the past, your songs didn't exactly match the song. But this one fit, and it has done wonders. It was a bit nasally at times, but it's not very noticable.

Aestivate - Hikari

Aestivate—Hikari

Not one of your best, sorry to say. It felt really strained and forced at times—was it a little uncomfortable singing at that range? You did great getting the notes though and using strength to ensure you got them.

Badal - No Entry

Yoshi-san - Passion

*dies of cute overload* OMGOSH PIGG!! That was so adorable XD hahaha, why you have to be so cute!? Just right for the style of the song, so so adorable.
