Congrats, Aesti! You did marvelously. :)

I would like to please claim "Someday" by Rob Thomas.

Edit: And done!

Rob Thomas - Someday Cover

It was recorded in 2009. Love the song sooooo much. :) Thanks, Paperhorse, for the suggestion!

I did the song Gives You Hell by The All-American Rejects. I probably enjoyed this more than I should have, but it was nice stress relief.

Song here.

"Shinkirou" (Mirage) by LOVEHOLIC - 2007 (does this still count? kinda? XD)
cp-shinkirou.mp3 - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

A few notes: I didn't apply an echo effect on my voice, the karaoke just kinda made it like that (there was no official karaoke, so I had to edit it myself) O_O;
The language is Korean, so my pronunciation is horrible once again.
I really love this song X3

Okay. Well, I'm doing an entry this week. I was too sick last week. Bad bad horrible allergy attack. I am starting to wonder if I'm allergic tot his house. lol j/k

Anyway, the song is ALMATERIA by Kawai Eri. It's from 2007. The language...good question. To me, like the Hellsing op, it's gibberish to me. Only words I do know are "real" are Sylvarant and Tethealla.

Oh, just as before, same problems apply. No matter what, seems like since I've been home, I've had slight allergies (mostly a cough), so my voice may sound scratchy, I feel.

Oh, also, turn the sound down some. I felt it was too loud, and I do apologize for the sound quality as it's not all that great to me. No idea how I could even fix that anyway.

Anywho, here's the song and thanks again TPM for making the video so that I could upload it to YT...

ALMATERIA

R.I.P. Eri. You died far too young.

"Let it Out" - Miho Fukuhara 2010 :D

http://www.4shared.com/audio/QxCmq2oz/Let_It_Out_Cover_-_Aestivate_2.html?

One of the hardest songs ever, seriously. I still don't feel like I did it justice Dx
But one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. I harmonized with myself again, etc. etc.

judging by the pattern and his overall awesomeness (srs this week's entry was teh shitz), franky should be winning this week

White and Nerdy - YouTube

Here you go! It's obvious, but here is a disclaimer: This was done in multiple pieces. There are parts of this song that are impossible to do without pausing for breath. In fact Weird Al didn't even actually rap it at the speed you hear it - he sped his voice up electronically after recording. Which I didn't do. You're hearing this at the speed I sang it. 8D

@Domino White; I love your entry!!! I think you did a fantastic job. I'm glad you took the risk with it, it is definitely unique. Great job!

Haha, thank you!

Also, I had the privilege of seeing Weird Al perform this live in 2007! If I recall correctly he rode across the stage in a Segway like in the video.

Some may have noticed I wasn't a judge last week =), thanks to Karamazov, your fantastic Guest Judge, for stepping up to fill in the position!

The Puppetmaster--Someday

8D... this has to be my most favorite entry of yours ever. EVER!! I feel you really got into your natural voice range here and used it with confidence. I loved loved loved it!

10/10

Winged Psychic--Gives you Hell

Very good, good rhythm and good job on being less nasal. Major improvement from the last time I heard you sing.
8/10

CommanderPigg--Shinkirou
What do you use for recording D8?? It always sounds so excellent... stop trying to make me cry Pigg!!

9.5/10

SSJ_Jup81--Almateria

I understand voice ranges and being unable to sing a song in its original voice range, but I really think you are singing too low for both the song and for your voice. I think you can go higher, and I am going to encourage you to do so.

6/10

Aestivate--Let it Out

Harmonies felt a little off, I didn't enjoy this entry so much as I have the past ones =( I did really like the melody though, very strong.

9/10

Domino White--White and Nerdy

Why you all try to sing so low!? Embrace your ranges and use them--you sounded excellent on the pieces where you do sing, and the areas where it is rhythmic you were very well timed.

7/10

Hellion--Hot N' Cold

Perfect, you are in the right range for you voice--be careful not to go flat when sliding (meaning, don't go barely further then you are supposed to slide, giving it that hint of flatness).

7/10

A 10 dollar headphone set and mixcraft 5 (I have to compress it a special way so my voice isn't so quiet XD). And thank you! The song itself is quite depressing >.>

@The Puppetmaster
Great Performance!!!!! Thought everything was spot on and the only thing I could have asked for was that your voice be softer in some sections, like the beginning. OVer all Great Job!

Your score is....
10/10

@Winged Psychic
That was a pretty good cover. I was on the rail about the way you did the lyrics though. I like the way you made it your own and it sounded good at some parts but at others it sounded like a mistake. But in pitch and emotion it was great. Overall good job!

Your score is.....
7.5/10

@CommanderPigg
Another awesome performance to be sure. You were perfect in all aspects and your voice was great for the song. Great Job!!!!!

Your score is.....
10/10

@SSJ_Jup81
It was a good cover but your voice is to low for the song. Like Hallow, I encourage you to pick a song more suited for such. Also, you were a bit pitchy in some parts but it was defiantly good in the emotion part of it. Also, the volume of your voice I thought was a little to low, but that may be for other reasons.

Your score is.....
5.5/10

@Aestivate
That was fantastic performance all around. Your pitch, emotion, and all else was spot on and this was defiantly a top performance this week. Overall great job!

Your score is.....
10/10

@Domino White
That was a pretty good cover, that song always made me laugh. I understand that you were rapping pretty fast but it was just pitchy in places but I thought it was a great cover.

Your score is.....
8/10

@Hellion
Defiantly a very good cover. I thought that your pitch was perfect and was your emotion. The only problem was in the chorus the last word was being cut off by you needing to take a breath. My advice in this scenario would be to hide your breathing better because it made the words sound cut off and rigid. But an over all great job!

Your score is.....
8/10

For those who want me to sing in a higher pitch, forget it. I should just drop out. Until I'm 100% better, which I"m not, I'll be coughing through the songs, and I doubt you all want to hear that, now do ya? =P

Thanks for all your entries this week!

Voters, remember to vote this week!

Edit:

Time to announce the winner for this week's round!

The winner is:

Commanderpigg!!

Congrats @CommanderPigg; :)
