Time to start Bulbagarden Idol Round 7!

Congrats to @CommanderPigg; for winning Round 6.

This week’s theme is Country Music

Note: I’m very lenient with song choice on this one, meaning you can choose a song that’s not “pure country”. Examples of Country Artists you can choose from are Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw, Shania Twain, Johnny Cash, etc.

Contestants, you have until Friday, August 26th, 6:00 PM EST to submit an entry.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: If you cannot submit an entry for this round for whatever reason, please let me know ahead of time.

Same goes if you are a voter, or judge. If you cannot vote this round, please let me know.

Other Reminders:
Contestants, make sure you state the name of the song and the artist you are covering in your post.

Also, please post your entries ASAP and try not to wait until the last minute. Our judges need some time in order to critique you.

Remember to claim your song if you do not want someone else to sing it, and you may change your mind only once.

NOTE to all contestants/voters/judges: if you change your username during this competition, please let me know.

Country music...country music. I know what song I have in mind for this one. I don't like country music much at all (it is one of my least favorite genres next to rap/hip-hop), but I do like Tom Petty, so I'm claiming Won't Back Down by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. One of my all-time favorite songs.

Edit: Ick, the country in my accent came out without my realizing it!! I usually try to hide it. :sweatlol: Oh well. I'll link it later

Gosh, choosing among Carrie Underwood and Martina Mcbride and Rascal Flatts will be kinda difficult for me =___=
Just putting this out there, but I can't stand Taylor Swift :p

Referring to your last comment in the other thread, we dont in no way want you to change the way you sing, you sing great. But what you do need to change is the songs you pick. You tend to pick songs that dont compliment your voice and in the end it hurts you. And I'd bet a lot of money if you picked just the right song all your problems would be solved in an instant. Trust me, i've been there.

After I did this I realised that I know a lot more country songs than I first thought - I used to listen to country CDs when I was very very young, and they all started coming back from the back of my memory. This is one of my favourites though. Don't really understand why so many people dislike country music.

FINALLY. FINISHED. MY. ENTRY.
oh my god, this is definitely the most indecisive week i've ever, ever head.

i was back in forth among three songs - change by carrie underwood, god bless the broken road by rascal flatts, and temporary home by carrie underwood.

i eventually narrowed the choices down to the two carrie songs, and ended up recording both and deciding which one i preferred.

i went with temporary home, because franky (tpm) <3 had done the instrumental for me, so thank you to him.

CommanderPigg: Once again, you've outdone yourself. Because it was a little soft, there was a bit of a problem with emoting. All-in-all, it was really great. As usual.

Domino White: I think this is your best entry yet. Your voice was so emotional, and it really worked. This would really benefit with the original music in the background.

Wolverine: Welp. I love it. It was hilarious and adorable! It was really flat near the beginning, but you sort of got better as you went on. This song really fits your voice, dude.

The Puppetmaster: Boy, everyone seems to have upped their game this week, and you're no exception. Quite honestly, it was really great!

Winged Psychic: Now this is a song that fits your voice! In the past, your songs didn't exactly match the song. But this one fit, and it has done wonders. It was a bit nasally at times, but it's not very noticable.

Aestivate: Amazing. Simply amazing. I absolutely love it! You have emotion, your voice matches the song, and your voice is grand.

SSJ_Jup81: It was so cute! Your accent was awesome. There wasn't a lot of emotion in it, but other than that, it you sound like an authentic country music star.
