There is many factors that increase a domain's value. Serebii.net is a one word domain, it gets much more traffic than Bulbagarden.net, has more Google search listings and is a shorter domain, opposed to Bulbagarden.net.
I registered Youpunk.com, Romrealm.com and Confused.cc today. The net value of these domains (developed) could be worth thousands.
