Well, I've been curious about whether guys or gals like Pokémon better (this is the sole reason). So, here's a poll, and please, answer truthfully :D! If this has been posted before, please forgive me. I've actually searched this time with the search tool and went back several months.

I'm a girl. :) But, does it even matter? o.o

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

I'm-a lady.

I think the Pokémon fandom is pretty diverse with its fans' genders. Makes it more fun. :D

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

I think to get a real answer, you'll have to put this poll in several of the forums - the games forum, the anime forum, the fanfic and fan art forums - and then compare the scores. I suspect the percentage is different in various sub-sections of the fandom.

But I don't know if the forum rules allow you to do that or not....

Or how you would keep the same people from answering it twice in different forums....

Would one be allowed to put a thread linking to the same poll in other forums, perhaps?

Or is my anal-retentive Virgo side just taking it all waaaaay too seriously?

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

I am of the fairer sex ;-)

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

I have a Y-chromosome, despite playong as the girl character in Diamond and Platinum.

It seems like the combination of violence and cuteness attracts all kinds to Pokémon.

Actually, it doesn't matter, but as you know, Pokémon was originally meant for males. I wanted to see how this holds up, or if it's changed.

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

Female but what can I say I watch violent cartoons instead of lame stuff like on disney channel

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

Female over here!

My brothers kinda introduced me to Pokemon back when it first came out. Now I'm more of the poke-nerd than they are!

I think at first Pokemon was geared for the males, but as time passed, they reliezed that females are really getting into it as well. That's maybe why you can choose your gender in the games now.

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

Male. <:D
But I'm incredibly effeminate, so... add another point to the female's votes too.

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

I'm male, but it shouldn't matter Pokémon can be enjoy by both boys and girls.

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

Oooh! The women are ahead by one vote ;-) Maybe girls are just more forum-active...

Re: Pokémon Fans, What's Your Gender?

I believe more boys are hooked in Pokémon over girls... xP

Ahh, yes...I already knew that, I beleve. ._.; It's probably one of the reasons why i'm soo self cautious about the fact that I still like Pokémon (since, really, i've always been VERY 'girly', mind you...), and, quite A LOT, really (leading to that one topic I started)...Even other girly-girls on this forum have at least well kept up with a good few anime and manga...while, truthfully, I barely pay attension to anime/manga AT ALL (though, luckly, that also include's shojo/magical girl. prehaps, if I WAS into those things, THEN i'd be too 'girly' for Pokémon. maybe...).

Although, i've watched my brother play violent video games a lot as a kid. Cept, it's not like it was since the age of 5...and I rarely ever played with him, too...I think....

I don't even remember anymore. :(

Yes...my intrest in Pokémon greatly suprizes and baffle's me everyday. 0_o; I'm not really sure what attract's me into the series at all, really...cept that I think they all look really, really cool. Oh well...it's a good enouth reason, I suppose.:goof:

I still can't beleve I ended up evolving my Piplup, as well...or even that I could actually evolve my Pokémon in genneral.o_0;; And still manage to play/win my games....

(PS: My pearl team is Primplup, Staravia, Pachirisu, Misdreavus, Roselia, and, Ponyta. It SHOULD be soo much 'girlier', I know...somehow, I plan on evolving the first 2 anyways, though. i'm worried...)

I need a cuter team on my pearl game...and yet why don't i feel like changing who's on my team at all?

There must be something seriusly wrong with me. Either that, or I just sterio type faar too much...My mind is a very confusing and scary place, and I know it.:bawling:

All I can say is THIS...If a girl like ME is able to like Pokémon, somehow, even if it make's 0 sense that I could do so...then I don't see how a jockie can't like 'cute' things.:/ :)

In the end....sterio typing sucks. People should be ALOUD to LIKE whatever they want, no matter WHAT! Even if they made the ignorent mistake of disiding to be really 'girly' as a kid, and liking cute things isn't going to make you gay, people need to stop being ignorent about that. Pink was even my favorite color all my life...although there was a point where I really DID want to HATE the color more than ANYTHING....but that was mainly to become a 'goth' soo this one girl would keep being my 'friend'. Turn's out, she was never much a friend to begin with in the end...but let's not talk about her, OK? It's not like anyone here would know who she was, anyways...0--o;

And now I love the color pink again, for so I am glad.

Either way...yes, I relize I should be more open minded. But I can't help acting the way I do....*sigh*

I'm just too different from everyone else...
