Bulbagarden's History and Myths

Well, I recently became very curious as to the creation of Bulbagarden. And suddenly, I realized that I want to hear the story of how it came to be--who thought of it, who created it, etc. How it all started. Beyond knowing the history of Bulbagarden, I also thought--why not ask some of the myths? Myths about how it came to be, stories about our beloved (and older) admins and how they got to be here themselves, as well as some of the favorite and most memorable moments from the life of this good Garden.

Occasionally we hear glimmers of past events--LULZ username, references to old trolls, yadda yadda--but no one ever seems to tell a full story. So, tell it!

Speculation and made up ideas of its beginning and the existence of longtime members is welcome, because it adds to the fun.

I've seen my share of weirdness on here. Like there used to be a forum called the Hall Of Shame. It was basically a giant dramafest, full of garbage threads. For example, one user sockpuppetted as 4kids, made a thread saying 4kids was back, and that thread became the fastest topic on the board, reaching over 20 pages fast.
There were also parody threads of other HoS threads. Like one was a parody of a pokeshipping bible thread, then there was a parody of that thread. There was even a club (from the bulba club forum section) in the HoS, which was a parody of a old group which got VA talk banned.
There was thread nenomcracy, however, where dead threads kept getting bumped.
For that reason and others, the HoS was eventually locked, and the description went from blank to "The Best of Bulbagarden's Worst". Some threads, like one user making a bunch of consparicy theroies, were moved there, before the HoS was removed, with access being made avaliable to admins only.

And there was one user who managed to get banned a billion times, before getting permabanned.

I believe that the HoS still exists and is visible only to the admins. Got some vague clues even.

Nothing gets deleted. The HoS was archived, but is no longer an active forum.
