Oh, no......

This is bad, or at least is for those of us working on the SOVA campaign.

And I guess they didn't listen to any of those emails either, I mean the ones we sent them about not picking up Pokemon, because of the fact that it was going to have new voice actors. :-(

Yes. Because a dozen e-mails from rabid fanboys and girls is going to stop them putting on a show that will get them millions and millions of viewers and tonnes and tonnes of cash.

Well, I m just glad it got picked up. That cures the depression I had about the 9 season not being dubbed. Are they going to stick with the original voice actors?

*loves DoctorOak's sarcasm*

You people seriously thought any of your e-mails would have made them stop picking up the show because the voice actors are not the original 4Kids ones? Come on, get real.

At least you should be glad they'll be airing Pokemon in the US.

Yeah, that's true.

I have to admit, I did at one point think that maybe Pokemon would be canceled if they didn't find a network to air the 9th season. ^^o

I'm don't know about that......

In fact, I don't think anyone knows that yet.

Although, I really hope they keep the original VAs.

I am actually not sceptacle of SOVA and even I never saw what those e-mails to Cartoon Network were hoping to achieve.

As to the actual news, the title was predictable. I was hoping to see a little more effort. Though notice how the press release talks of seven facilities. Ash already has one symbol.

*hopes they bring back the original cast*

It's going to be weird not watching it on Saturday mornings anymore. Pokemon has been my Saturday morning tradition for seven years now. I hope CN airs it on Saturdays at least. *crosses fingers*

Yeah, I completely agree with you YumeHeart!!

And I hope they air it on Saturday's as well. That way we could still continue our tradition. :)

As expected as this news was, it's good to have confirmation. It will most likely air in Toonami, which is the best place for it.

Yeah, I think it will be Toonami, also. Which is a Saturday, but I think it will be at 7:00 or 7:30pm, which is perfect for me. Cartoon Network is an all around better network than Kids WB anyways... They allow Cigars and Cigarettes for over aged characters! Plus Toonami also allows violence, Japanese Culture, and light cursing :p (Though I doubt The Pokemon Company will allow cursing in the US)

Cartoon Network also does listen, very heavily infact, to people's electronic comments. Over half of their Anime on the network were requested by people on their message boards. I'm sure they may have said something of a request, but they weren't going to loose this. (Honestly I can't picture KidsWB dropping Pkmn because they don't want it, I know it's because of money they don't have enough of... seriously it was their most popular program)

I'm still happy of the move, but SOVA workers, don't give up! There could have been more of an impact than it appears. (For example, if one season deosn't work out, they could return in the next)... I just... don't like 4KiDS, sorry 4KiDS fans.
Pokemon was their only good dub, IMO, and the Actors and Actresses are great, but 4KiDS limits themselves too much to which they feel played out. They also do a good job with editing for almost as good as you can do, even though most of the time it's silly... but Pokemon being freed should be their first wake-up call, and One Piece needs to be freed also... return to the mother Viz/Shueshia, or have it get redubbed by Funimation. It is true that I didn't originally like all of the Japanese VA for the show, but that pales in comparison to the editing of character's personality in the shows and horrible music of the English dub! (Though actually, I generally like every voice except for Usopp and Sanji, but the music and the direction they play is horrible.. those VA's could work too if they just lost the bad accents)

[/End_Rant]

Wow, now i finally have a reason to get cable.
Not for me!

Guess I'll be watching Pokemon the same way I have been doing for the past 6 years... Good thing for broadband!

It is a good thing that Pokemon did find a network to show the next season. It would have been bad if Pokemon wasn't shown anywhere because no channel wanted it. I did send CN some emails, but I suggested that they talked with Pokemon USA about getting the original voices back. I'm still going to work hard for the SOVA campaign. As for the title, its a nice change over Advance something in the title. I hope that new episodes are shown on Toonami and maybe repeats on Mugzi. If they had the new episodes on weekdays, then the season would go by too fast and we would have to wait like five or so months to get new episodes when we would only have to wait three months if they're shown once a week.
