[Bulbanews] Viz asks for votes on upcoming DVDs: Poll on 10th anniversary DVDs begins

A complete Indigo League set wouldn't hurt.

But while you're at it, Viz, why not release the Ono manga unflopped for us?

How convienient, they already have the list narrowed down to 45 of the "most popular" Pokemon. >_> (I suppose part of that is due to them needing to make sure that each Pokemon has at least three eps starring it, though) Although I certainly didn't expect to see Magikarp, Slowbro, Farfetch'd, Gloom, and Chansey on there. All of the basic starter forms, Charizard, and Pikachu(we'd need a DVD commemorating Pikachu because why? It's only in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE!) being on there are no surprise, though. Boo for Plusle & Minun's presence on that list, though.

I actually wondered who'd buy that before remembering the younger fanbase. But yes, a complete Kanto box set wouldn't hurt...including the episodes in uncut Japanese and with the Dratini and the Beauty & The Beach eps...*shot for groundless optimism*

I like how Gloom is on the list. If Gloom becomes one of the top ten, I'll might even think of importing that DVD.

Wow, what a paltry list.

I vote Porygon!

If they really want to celebrate the 10th anniversary, they'd release box sets of the previous series (4 dvds per box, each dvd holding 5 episodes - not really anything that can be used for extras, so just plain episodes would be fine enough.....along with a subtitled japanese alternate audio track).

My thinking exactly. Come on, every other cartoon has complete first seasons, and entire arcs have been released in "sets" (Orange Islands, Master Quest, JLC, and Advanced), relatively inexpensively, so why can't they do the same with Indigo and JJ?

Why no Aipom? T_T Aipom's episodes were awesome.

The only ones I'd be willing to buy are Aipom and Treecko, and maybe Chikorita.

AnimeonDVD.com has a listing for two volumes. Here's Volume One, and here's Volume Two. They'll be $9.99 MSRP (which means you should be able to find them online for less) and will be released on June 6th.

Duke over on the Toon Zone forums said that Amazon.com has a listing for a 10th Anniversary Pikachu and a 10th Anniversary Jigglypuff DVD, but I haven't been able to find them.

Update: RightStuf.com has the list of episodes that'll appear on the discs.
Volume One | Volume Two

Lol I was just about to give away the Amazon links, I wasn't sure if the winners were known here yet. Bit of a disappointment really, but nm I live in the UK - I doubt we would of gotten them anyway.

The Pikachu one's kind of 'meh', but the Jigglypuff one's kind of cool. I probably would've picked the Jigglypuff/Snubbul brawl, though.
