I just thought I'd bring this up.

If I open 20 tabs of any other website with my Firefox, there are no problems. But if I open even two tabs of Bulbapedia, Firefox will lag like hell and usually eventually freezes and crashes. Is this a known problem/does anyone else have it?

Maybe it's just your computer, it works fine on me.

What version of Firefox are you using?

It works fine with mine, too >: Perhaps it's your version of Firefox?

Try disabling Flash or Javascript, and see which one improves performance. If it's Javascript, then perhaps all the custom Javascript will need to be investigated.

(maybe the Porygon Z virus infected your computer)

It depends on the tabs you have opened (20 tabs with hardly anything won't equal 2 tabs with a lot). How old is your computer and what version of firefox are you using?

I can say that when opening the history page, my computer will also occasionally lag pretty hard. Occasionally it can recover, but other times it crashes my Firefox. (3.5, Windows Vista and/or Ubuntu 9.4, Java enabled)

FF 3.5 has been crashing on me with a lot of tabs open but otherwise it's fine. I'd have about 35 tabs open at a time with Bulbapedia. It's your RAM or something >.>

I don't know which version of Firefox, but it's the newest. It automatically updates itself.
It's a great computer, 2008 Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with upgrades.
Also, could you tell me how to disable Flash and Javascript? I've never had to do it.

When I use Bulbapedia, I often have many tabs opened. Looking at potential Pokemon to EV and whatnot. It makes it frustrating.

I've experienced something like this once or twice in the past. After opening a random article, Firefox stopped responding and started using up more and more RAM with no end in sight. Even after restarting the process, it still did the same thing. The weird thing is, however, that everything went back to normal the next day. I have no idea what happened there, but maybe your problem is related to it.

Yeah, I've had that too. Computers are weird like that. Networks are even weirder.

I also have this problem with Firefox, and I have updated to the latest version (I think it is 3.1.1.13). However, the only page that causes crashes is Bulbapedia's 'List of Pokemon by Effort Value Yield'. That page continuously causes my laptop to lag and the Firefox to crash. The other pages are fine.

My Firefox also crashed with the effort yield page once. It is pretty big, and trying to sort that table takes a lot of RAM.

You just need to give it time.

The page Firefox crashed for me with once was List of Pokémon by base stats, so it seems it's related to those long lists. Although the strange thing is, as I said, that I've never had problems with that page since then.
