So am I the only one that was let down by the train?
For some reason SS killed my memories of Silver as the windows are just tinted. Whereas in the originals I fondly remember seeing Gold's sprites face in the window. I used to always ride the train. Now I just fly. Such a small thing yet it oddly depressed me.

The train takes too long. The guy has to check my pass, then I have to walk down stairs (slowly), then I have to wait for the train to pull up, THEN the I can finally get on and begin traveling.

It's easier to fly to victory road and then fly to your destination from there.

I wasn't too fussed, to be honest. D: Even way back when, it was much quicker to just fly to and from Kanto and Johto.

I didn't even notice honestly. Flying is much quicker though, so I've stopped using the train.

I know this is a bit random, but in R/S/E am I the only one who didn't like the fact that whilst on the cable car, the sprite is bobbing up and down? I can't remember the train on Silver, but it sounds like to much hastle, especially as i use the day care and it wastes steps.

True, there isn't much movement in a cable car, aside from a slight vibration, which isn't really noticeable. But the vibration is likely just created from the way the graphics are, though I could be mistaken. I need to get my hands on another copy of those games.

The changes for the Bullet Train don't bother me much, though I do remember the reflection in G/S/C. I'd suppose with the angle they give you in the new versions, there either wouldn't be much of a reflection, or its simply something they didn't add for some reason.

In my Japanese SoulSilver, I went on the train a couple of times a gimick, but now I just fly to the Pokémon league, then to my location in the next region.

Unless I'm in goldenrod going to saffron or vis versa, I don't use it much. Though sometimes I do for fun cause I like the train. :p

I guess I would have preferred to see a small scene (intro-style) of Ethan/Lyra sitting in the train, looking out the window or whatever, but at least it's better now than it was before. :x

BT, this thread's title kicks ass!

Yeah, title makes me think of Dethklok. The episode with Murdertrain, and the joke about how blues songs always have to do with trains.

See, in the original GSC, it wasn't as easy to just fly to Indigo and then to Kanto/Johto as it is in these games IMO. So I took the train a lot. Now... it takes a longer time.
