BW 032 "The Monmen in Love Rides the Wind!"
During a training battle between Zuruggu and Kibago, a couple of Monmen interrupt with a battle of their own...

The Dento focus was a liiiieeee ;_;

Of course oblivious Ash will never be boring for me. Loved how he thought that when Dento was saying that they got together in "couples" (in his usual gratuitous Engrish, o'course :p) he thought it meant that they were friends. And in the end, when the cotonee finally got his mate, they were "best friends" XDDDD

Fairly average episode. I kinda wish that they focused more on the romance and less on the battling. Love that the "baby" pokemon got some training in though, and for once, they were the teachers. Seems like Kiba is really getting the hand of his dragon rage ^^

Cotton guard looks...scary ;_; Too...much...fluff...

Sort interesting...Whatwas with Iris and those random apples!?

Dent was freaking hilarious! Especially at the end!

kind of a lot of effort to put into training a random pokemon. and it seemed to work better than it ever has on his actual pokemon.

really liked that part where death the kid squealed about how symmetrical that heart-shape was. er, dento squealing about the romance i mean.

Pretty good episode. I too would've liked a bit more romance, but what we saw was fun. Clueless Satoshi was hilarious, and it was great seeing how strong Kibago was. Iris with the apples was a pretty hilarious running gag. And Dent? XD NEVER change.

Even though the Rockets took the predictable route, at least they had a well thought out plan on catching the Monmen. (And how cute was the Koromori/Musashi scene?) Thankfully they didn't hog much time (Where has this been the last 14 years?) and I'm glad it wasn't a complete "Bye Bye Butterfree" ripoff with the Monmen impressing the other one just by defeating the Rockets. It was nice to see everyone involved.

I think witers give Satoshi, Dent and Iris equal screentime and focus in this episode. It's first in BW saga (maybe even whole anime?). And I lol'd at "competent" TR. Letting Pikachu destroy their machine and beated by pokemon they did captured is very competent of them. Their "escape" with jetpacks at the end was a really forced cop-out...

re: BW 029 "The Monmen in Love Rides the Wind!" Review Thread

Pikachu had nothing to do with it.

martianmister was referring to the fan that prevented them from following, that Pikachu did destroy.

But to be fair, Team Rocket could not give a shit about the giant fan, they were already zooming away in their vehicle. So I don't see how it proves Team Rocket are incompetent, they just didn't give a shit. Though I guess it is kind of their fault that it got destroyed so quickly.

Pikachu had nothing to do with it.

I was talking about their big fan.

I'm glad it wasn't a complete "Bye Bye Butterfree" ripoff with the Monmen impressing the other one just by defeating the Rockets.

Huh? It was all of them, not just one Monmen and it has nothing with his impressing her.

How was it a cop-out? What else would you rather them do?

Writers trying to show them as competent than their pre-BW selves, (to justify TR's lack of comedy) even through they're not. They should be blasted-off with that explosion.

No, that is what Musashi was saying. It isn't like Bye Bye Butterfree because it wasn't just one Monmen that defeated Team Rocket.

Oh, my grammar again...

I really liked Satoshi, Dent and Iris' equal screentime and focus in this episode. This makes me feel like they are a real team rather than a protagonist and his sidekicks...

Anyone who says this clearly hasn't been watching Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes!. :p

I liked seeing Axew finally be strong. Now Ash must work on Scraggy to catch up. Unfortunately, this is not what he does and wastes his skills on random pokemon. If you can train stuff that well, do it for your own pokemon, daggit. Oh, plot. Meh. Oh, and Tranquill is back, unless I somehow missed Ash switching out Swadloon for it. Guess we really can't think of it as a static team anymore, not in the slightest.

re: BW 029 "The Monmen in Love Rides the Wind!" Review Thread

Poor Scraggy. He's needs some new moves badly. Sad thing is...if the scans are any indication, he's not going to get anything when the movie rolls around either. Well it seems that Scraggy, and Kibago are being played up as rivals at this point.

It was pretty cool, seeing Ash train Cottonee and the methods paying off in the end. Cilan and Iris seemed pretty fun in this episode as well. Though I'm curious as to what was up with Iris and that fiery aura.

I was kinda relieved to know that Ash wasn't gonna catch a Cottonee, and they were just helping it win a female's heart, but I also like how Scraggy got a little more attention in this episode. I love that little guy. XD

Filler episode!

Nobody can deny this one.
