Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Water!!
After discovering Mijumaru's aqua jet is ineffective due to Mijumaru's refusal to open his eyes in the water, Satoshi makes Mijumaru under go training. However, during the training the rest of the gang's Pokemon are poisoned! Will Mijumaru be able to over come his fear and get the cure to heal his friends?

ASH AND CILAN ARE SO FREAKING AMAZING! THEY BOTH CATCH ONE POKEMON EACH IN THIS EPISODE! This episode was entirely focused on Ash, Cilan, and Oshawott, but it had the moments with Snivy and Emolga.

I typed up a summary for those who are interested:

Ash and co. arrive at a lakeside. At this time, Ash remembered what Trip showed him with Oshawott’s Aqua Jet in the previous episode. Ash finally has the initiative to train Oshawott. While the group talks about it, they send out most of their pokemon to play. Emolga and Snivy are sent out together and turn their heads in disagreement. Oshawott is sent out last, and Ash tells him that they will be training. The opening is then shown.
Iris is playing with the pokemon Ash is stretching in his underwear as he tells Oshawott to swim in the lake. Oshawott becomes scared when Ash tells him that he will train to open his eyes underwater. Oshawott is reluctant to do so, but does it anyway. Ash has a difficult time breathing underwater. Ash convinces Oshawott to attempt opening diving underwater for a second time. Oshawott’s second time has him closing his eyes even further. Ash forces Oshawott’s eyes to open. Oshawott becomes very anxious and uses Water Gun on Ash, forcing him out of the water.
Iris and Emolga are playing. Emolga sends the ball over to Snivy in spite. Snivy uses Vine Whip and throws it to Dwebble on accident. Dwebble breaks the ball with its claws on accident. Scraggy, who is on his own, notices a bunch of Poke Ball shaped mushrooms. Scraggy begins to attack them with Headbutt. Scraggy then sticks his tongue out to taunt the mushrooms. The other pokemon soon notice, and they begin to go towards Scraggy. Cilan just so happens to be preparing lunch after this time. Scraggy and the Foongus begin to battle. The Foongus stand on one another like a pyramid to poison Scraggy. As the group’s pokemon were approaching Scraggy, they were poisoned too.

Ash and Oshawott are soon aware of the incident themselves. Iris tells Ash about the Foongus, causing Ash to scan them in his PokeDex. The Foongus retreat after that. Cilan goes to his laptop to point to look for the closest Pokemon Center, but there is none in sight. Iris tells Ash that there is a plant that can cure poison. Cilan concludes that it is underwater, but it is stuck between two trenches. In addition, the lake is said to be the territory of wild Palpitoad. Ash, Cilan, and Oshawott set off to get the plant. Ash and Cilan are wandering in the thick bog as they do so. Ash tells Oshawott to go into the water. Ash puts a breathing mask on and with Oshawott in his palms, he convinces Oshawott to navigate through the water. Ash holds Oshwott, who is still closing his eyes, as they wade through the river. Cilan wishes Oshawott luck. Iris takes care of the group’s pokemon at the moment and she makes a temporary medicine for the pokemon. Pikachu weakly cries out Ash’s name and hopes he is okay.
As Ash and Oshawott go deeper into the water, an aggressive Palpitoad orders a group of Tymphole to attack them for wandering into the territory. Ash and Oshawott notice the trench where the plant is located. The Tymphole begin to attack Ash and Oshawott. Oshawott refuses to help Ash because he does not want to open his eyes in water. The Tymphole attack Oshawott with Water Gun. Even with his eyes closed, Oshawott somehow dodges all of the attacks. Cilan notices the Water Guns fired out of the water, causing him to worry. The eyecatch and commercials are shown.
Ash wishes Oshawott to do his best, and orders Oshawott to use Razor Shell. Oshawott still cannot attack. By being encouraged, Oshawott opens his eyes slightly. Ash tells Oshawott to open its eyes. The Tympole launch Bubble attacks. Oshawott finally opens his eyes underwater and effortlessly destroys the bubbles with Razor Shell. This scares the Tympole off. Ash and Oshawott set out to go back to the surface. The angry Palpitoad orders a Stunfisk, who had been hiding on the ocean floor for quite some time, to attack with its electric-type attacks. Ash and Oshawott are electrocuted, which sends them out of the lake. The Stunfisk arrives on the surface of the water, giggling. Ash scans the Stunfisk into his Poke Dex. Ash and Oshawott begin to wonder how to fight the Stunfisk. Cilan goes for it: He pulls out his lure and goes for “FISHING TIME!!!” Cilan sends out his special Cilan lure. Ash tells Cilan that the rod and lure look cool, but getting the Stunfisk out of the water is what truly matters right now. Cilan guesses the movements of the line based on the ripples that are present on the surface of the water. Cilan’s lure finally gets a hold of the Stunfisk. Cilan pulls the Stunfisk on land.
As soon as this happens, the Palpitoad swims to a lily pad on the surface. The Palpitoad lanches a Ground-type attack and orders the Stunfisk to use the same attack on Cilan. Cilan dodges the attack and tells Oshawott to do his best. Cilan throws the lure at Stunfisk, causing it to circle around in the air. Ash orders Oshawott to battle the Palpitoad now. Ash convinces Oshawott to battle. Oshawott uses Water Gun, but Palpitoad uses Hydro Pump to damage Oshawott instead. Oshawott uses Shell Blade, but Palpitoad uses Hyper Voice to stop Oshawott in its tracks. Palpitoad launches its Ground-type attack now. Ash promises to “get” the Palpitoad. Oshawott uses Aqua Jet, and because of the training, he is able to control the move. Oshawott is unconscious. Ash and Oshawott begin to cheer as they defeated the Palpitoad. Ash uses his Poke Ball on the Palpitoad, and CATCHES IT. Cilan then sends his Poke Ball to catch the Stunfisk. THEY BOTH SUCCEED! Ash’s Poke Ball has a red marker because he has six pokemon on him.
Ash and Oshawott finally have enough confidence to go underwater and retrieve the plant. Iris feeds the plant to the pokemon. They all feel better. Ash and Cilan begin to talk about their two captures, which was all possible because of the Oshawott. Ash and Cilan catch two pokemon and Oshawott masters Aqua Jet.

There isn't really a way to tell. But I guess not. This Palpitoad was extreme scheming and mean, last week's Palpitoad was...kinda characterless.

Holy shit. I don't think anyone would have seen that double capture coming. Ash really did catch Palpitoad after all! His team is severely bloated, and this is going to cause a shit-storm for sure, but I, for one, am quite glad. The 'mon itself is really cool, and I think it proved itself to be so during this episode.

This ep really gives Taillow competition for best capture ever, imo.

re: BW 032 "Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Water!!" Review Thread

Just watched it.

Loved the episode overall, The Snivy vs Emolga scene Sunyshore shown us, the intense action, Mijumaru mastering Aqua Jet and finally...

Double capture FTW

i can't believe maggyo is on the main cast now!!!! ;_____;

I lol'd

re: BW 032 "Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Water!!" Review Thread

Funny thing is, I thought that it would be terribly sad if Maggyo would get only this episode as a showcase of the species since it didn't really do to much in it. It is one of my favourites this Gen after all.

I was truly shocked when both, Satoshi and Dento threw their Pokéballs...

This is BW, ANYTHING can...nya, nevermind.

re: BW 032 "Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Water!!" Review Thread

AWESOMENESS!! This episode just made my horrible sick morning better! :) Now I have something to look forward to! LULZ Stunfisk......reminds me of Feebas.....in some ways XDD[

re: BW 032 "Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Water!!" Review Thread

Damn it all to hell........

I didn't want Ash to catch a Palpitoad, but the denial of the capture (prior to the episode), is what's annoying me the most.

I LOL at Cilan catching Stunfisk though, I though that was epic.

But damn....Palpitoad. So when can we except Ash's Litwick, or Larvesta? Well the good news I guess is, at least Ash actually has a ground type that can be used as a ground type. Unlike say the other 4 billion ground types Ash owns.

But LOL, Scraggy was awesome, and I liked how all the other Pokemon were coming to his aid. And YAY Oshawott master aqua jet....YAY.

re: BW 032 "Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Water!!" Review Thread

I really loved this ep... I'm shocked at how much BW improved since Emolga's eps... wtf was up with the earlier episodes? or maybe it's just my craziness? I don't know, but BW is totally awesome lately 0__o
LOL at Oshawott's reaction to Ash forcing it to open its eyes underwater XD god, this otter is the awesomest thing ever after Piplup! I'm actually starting to wish it won't evolve... I want it to evolve and I want Ash to finally have a fully evolved water starter... but it's so cute and funny and it'll all probably go to Johto once it'll evolve...

re: BW 032 "Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Water!!" Review Thread

So Ash won't catch Rogenrolla, otherwise his team this gen would be MASSIVE

Hee hee :p
Though unfotunately, now the question of whether Maggyo will become Goldeen mrk.2 arises. The guy didn't seem all that thrilled to be on land!
But since ANYTHING can happen....

I'll go over this episode later, but for now, I will say that it was a good 'un even without factoring in the double capture. Mijumaru clenching it's eyes shut whilst being pummled by tadpoles was oddly amusing, despite the obvious drama of the scene.

And I loved the ending where Miju could finally swim with it's eyes open. In a lot of ways, it reminds me of when I was a kid and had trouble doing the same thing. Getting over that and being able to dive under and open my eyes for the first time was really a big deal at that age.

Came across this on 2chan:

Oh god, Dent catching Magyo. I was so surprised and excited. It was so unexpected and the fact it it's a Magyo makes it hilarious. I just love that he caught it. Also I was really happy to see Dent catch a Pokemon. Seriously, he hasn't caught a Pokemon since BW011 so by then I did not care what Dent got, anything would satisfy me. Though truthfully I did want to him to get a Magyo.

Satoshi catching Gamagaru also surprised me, but not as much as it's a Pokemon that doesn't seem unexpected for Satoshi to get. And I kind of expected Satoshi to go beyond owning seven Pokemon. It's a sort of coincidence that it was a part Ground-type Satoshi caught seeing as the next (4th) Gym is an Electric-type Gym.
