Fierce Fighting Don Battle! Tsutarja VS Komatana!!
The Don Battle tournament continues! Who will advance to the next round, and just what is that pesky Zorua up to?

Kenyan, Cabernet, and Langley entertained me in this episode!
 
Dento VS. Shuuti! THAT BATTLE WAS AWESOME! BUT IT DID ABSOLUTELY JACK SHIT FOR THE RIVALRY. Just like I thought too. I doubt he'll be chewed out though. But, I still loved his battle if it counts for anything. Ishizumai's HELL STORM OF ROCKS! and Dento xD

OFFSCREEN EMONGA OBEDIENCE!! WHAT HAPPENED!?

Langley has a sweet side I like that xD Her interactions with Bel where hilarious. She has more to her character then just the female dog rival. xD

Kenyan and Keniyan name screw ups. xD Chirrami VS. Zeburaika! Cool. Ishizumai fixing his shell in Iris and Dento's hotel room and the Cabernet interactions.

Zorua and her antics! I LOVE THAT POKEMON!

Bel and her antics hilarious! The Kibago and Zorua fighting! Luke's filming! Bel being obsessed over get Zorua! Langley and Iris-Zorua interactions! HILARIOUS!

CABERNET HAS HER CRAZINESS BACK! HILARIOUS SHE IS! Langley and Komatana are completely awesome and in sync, that's what I loved about it. AND BRAND NEW MUSIC DURING THE BATTLE! Komatana's girly voice and attitude and way of doing things. Loved that way of using Vine Whip. I hate cliffhangers.
 
I honestly expected better from this episode, but it was still good overall. I thought it was hilarious when Cabernet was so mad after Dent won the match. She didn’t take it very well!

I thought the best part of the episode were the in between battle scenes. It was cute how Keniyan and Bel were eating dinner with Satoshi and gang.

Zorua is so cute! Just don’t overdo the joke please!

And no miruhog guy?! Severely disappointed. Just one glimpse of him would have made the episode so much better!
 
Ok, have I missed something or has Ishizumai learned Rock Tomb/Throw off screen?

Bel I like her, but your a fucking joke. LOSING, NOT GIVING A RAT'S ASS NOT WANTING TO BECOME STRONGER TO BEAT KENYAN AND LOSING TO KENYAN OF ALL PEOPLE. UGH! With Charrami being beaten easily, no technique or anything. WHICH MOST LIKELY MEANS NO KAMITSURE BEL GROWTH DRAMA!

How did they show iris' battle if they didnt show watchog guy? That's so weird, i mean what was the point of even introducing him.
 
Wow Dento won, did not expect that.
This episode was good but really annoyed me with the ending. Stupid cliffhangers!
Oh well, some good battles and Komatana was interesting and hopefully there will be more of her in future episodes.
And the other match ups for this round look pretty interesting as well.

- Don George talks about Dent with his eyes crossed. Dent tells Shootie he saw his battle at Sanyo.
- Cabernet is crazy. ABSOLUTELY NUTS
- Ishizumai gets the first attack, and dodges the first from Dotekkotsu. Dotekkotsu cracks Ishizumai's shell ;____; Omg wat. Ishizumai ;___;
- Cabernet takes extreme joy in Dent losing.
- Luke: I CAN MAKE AN AWESOME MO-
- Bel camera hogs again looking for Zorua. Luke: Get
- IT'S TASTING TIME!
- Cabernet: YOU SUCK AT TASTING ASSDLKFJSJF
- Dent: Good power, technique, harmony... blah blah BUT THE WINNER IS MY DENT. Wow this tasting montage is really gratuitous. Now that I'm complaining.
- Bel: LANGLEY DID YOU SEE ZORUA? No? Oh...
- Bel: LANGLEY DID YOU SEE ZORUA? ...ow8
- Zorua glomps Langley as Langley.
- Bel chases Zorua. AGAIN.
- Shootie gets a nice WTF face.
- Cabernet is grinding her teeth in UTTER RAGE that Dent gets a good attack in. ISHIZUMAI NO KACHI!~
- Shootie takes a picture for his journey. And basically says something about getting his revenge...? and Luke... er... Zorua takes videos.
- Cabernet rages. Again.
- Bel: WHERE IS ZORUAAAAAAAAA ;_;
- Bel's battle face is pretty adorable. Kenyan gets her fired up!
- Chillarmy vs. Zebraika. Bel is basically getting curb-stomped. And doesn't have a new Pokemon. Oh well.
- WHY DOES THE REFEREE GET KENYAN'S NAME WRONG TOO

- Gobitto vs. Darumaka
- Emonga vs. Miruhog
- WHY oh WHY is Emonga randomly obeying? I mean I know she's using Attract and tends to obey when she uses Attract (Chillarmy, Chaoboo, etc...) ... But still. And why does Miruhog guy not show up at all?!
- Shootie is leaving. Satoshi wants to know why. Shootie doesn't care. Because they're not strong he has to go and train. THAT'S BASIC RIGHT. Shootie doesn't care at all so why should I? Ugh. whatever. I'm over it.

- Satoshi gets Kenyan's name wrong. again. Now they're having a food competition! Satoshi, don't you know that there are some battles worth losing?
- Zorua's Iris face is so. LOL
- Bel: I FOUND YOU!!!!!!! Let's eat together :3
- Zorua turns into Kibago and mocks Kibago. Bel goes to cuddle Zorua. But it's Kibago. KIBAGO TUG OF WAR.
- Bel: WAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIT ZORUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHERE ARE YOU GOINGGGGGGGGG?!?
- Aww, Ishizumai is fixing his rock. It's so cute xD Seriously, I think Ishizumai is my favorite Pokemon of Dent's.
- Cabernet comes into their bedroom randomly. Starts fretting dramatically how Dent's tasting is wrong... and promptly leaves.
- Cue asdfadf from Dent and wtfs from Iris and Satoshi.
- Langley and Iris bitch at each other again. And
Langley: YES, I'M ANNOYING. YES, I'M A KODOMO. but so are you~~~ Iris uses Zorua-Langley as a puppet again. It's funny a second time too. Zorua gets some awesome facial expressions today. xdf

- Satoshi vs. Langley battle
- Komatana owns Tsutarja's leaf storm pretty creatively. Komatana could be in contests!!!11
- Dent, Iris, and Dean are watching the battle.
- Komatana is a diva. Oh Satoshi, your utter inability to discern gender is so...
- Tsutarja... gets a rock stuck on Komatana's head?
- Surprisingly Iris isn't attempting to disturb Satoshi and Langley's battle.
- Wow what. The end of the battle isn't even going to show up? -___-


- Wow, Iris is starting to get Kenyan's name wrong now too... LOL
- This is recognized in-universe. Kenyan: ...YOU TOO?!
- I think that because everyone's getting it wrong people are staring to think that's how people actually pronounce your name, Keneeeyaaaan :3


Positives:
+ the battles that we saw start to finish (Shootie vs. Dent, Satoshi vs. Langley... sort of) are definitely a step above the battle writing throughout the anime. They were definitely creative and worth watching and not attack spam.
+ Cabernet and Dent way to step it up. Cabernet, never change. Except for the ones I'm going to mention...
+ CAN SOMEONE PLEASE BUY ME THE BIG TALKING MIJUMARU PLUSHIE LADKJOSFDMDOMFG


Negatives:
- Zorua trolling Bel was funny maybe, oh, the first two or three times. Then it started getting boring.
- We weren't right about the triple battles. Everyone just gets to use one of their Pokemons twice -___- BOOORING.
- Shootie, Shootie, Shootie. At least Shinji does the jerkass rival part right.
- Bel's rivalry/interactions with everyone. I LOVE her, but she's officially the least competent joke rival ever. Lose against Keneeeeyaaan? No problem, go look for Zorua, no indication of wanting to become a stronger battler.... The part with her playing tug of war with Kibago was cute and endearing, but it's not a good something when she doesn't interact with the main cast at all. What is her purpose? How does she affect the other characters? Are we doomed to think of her as simply a cute kitten for the rest of BW? At least Jun was competitive.
- Luke. For the same reasons above. Obsessed with movie making, yes, but that makes him come across one-dimensional.
- Why does the anime have to resort to the same exact tactics to get the main characters to interact with their rivals? It's like I'm watching the same exact episode an episode later (or in some extreme cases, the same exact scene a scene later).
- NO MIRUHOG GUY

* All in all an entertaining episode, but... yeah, I give up on this tournament. AND NOT WORTH WAKING UP AT 6 AM FOR. just sayin'
 
So Iris is using Emonga in the first, and second round? It seems to like to battle all of the sudden....

WAT.
 
I'm disappointed that the writers let Shuuti leave right after he lost the battle to Dento hurray for major Satoshi/Shuuti rivalry development. Also LOL at the Luke and Iris 5-10 second battle shorts (interesting to know that Gobito knows shadow punch).

Poor Chillarmy...but the Chillarmy tickle scene with Zebstraika was very amusing (same with Dento sparkling and being fabulous like always)...and I'm really starting to hate cliffhangers with a passion. XD

I just think its sad and funny that all the other rivalries (Cabernet/Dento, Iris/Langley) are getting lots of attention (where tidbits are not that beneficial, in my opinion) instead of the one that really needs it (Shuuti vs. Satoshi). XD

Okay...excuse me while I go rage in my little corner over how apathetically Shooti handled this entire ordeal...I'll withhold my full judgement until I've gotten the translations, but...yeah. You can say that I'm more than a little disappointed. It was slightly amusing how he took a picture of Dento right after he lost though, like just quickly without warning :p Can't say much about the battle since Keyhole kept freezing up, and I don't really care about battles, but the Rock Tomb/Throw off looked REALLY cool. I'd be scared shitless if a little crab hailed giant rocks from the sky too ._.

And...what the heck....giving out that Paul-like wave while walking away into the sunset...you don't deserve this you little...

Anyways. Aside from that initial disappointment which will fester inside me for months to come...

LANGLEY x BEL. WHY DID I NEVER SEE THIS BEFORE??? I SHIP IT NOW.

Cabernet was continuously awesome throughout this entire episode. First, by being like sadistically against Dento winning, and then by FUMING when he does....and finally by SNEAKING INTO DENTO'S HOTEL ROOM just to tell him off. She appeared out of like, nowhere without permission. God, this girl is cool XD

And when you combine Zorua with Bel's natural airheadedness, hilarity ensues XD Poor Kibago...

Hahaha, even the ref got Kenyan's name wrong XD I love how he just invited himself to Ash's table like he was entitled to it or something. Ash will NEVER decline a food eating contest, ever, it seems...

Langley and Ash battle...yeah, nothing to say, sorry XD

Overall, MUCH better than last week's episode in terms of character interaction and actual battling, but in terms of its effect on the series in the long run, I really am not liking the impact this tournament is having on the main Ash/Shooti rivalry. We still have two more episodes, I believe, so...I'm still waiting waiting on the world to change
 
For the record, Emonga is semi-obedient, not completely disobedient. She may have listened to Iris because the battle probably wasn't long at all.
 
Okay, as someone mentioned before, this IS just a 1 vs. 1 that Dento won, something that could have accounted to bad luck in pokemon choice or whatever. It doesn't mean that Dento is stronger than Shooti. But the thing is, he's been kicked out of a major tournament...he should feel SOMETHING, right? I understand the "oh, I guess I'll just get stronger" mindset, but I've seen character of the days handle it better than he has...

That's what I think is the inherent flaw in this tournament...it's too based on luck, being 1 vs. 1, and not enough on actual strength.

Emonga winning the battle using attract against the Miruhog is just ironic and slightly creepy.
