Iris and Monozu! Day Care Training!!

Animation - Team Kato
Screenplay - Atsuhiro Tomioka
Storyboard - Takenori Kawada
Assistant director - Yūji Asada
Animation director - Masaaki Iwane

While the group helps out at a Pokemon daycare, Iris develops a special bond with one of the Monozu.

And no, Iris didn't catch it.

I wonder if this episode would be like the Ash vs Khoury episode....One character show interest in a Pokemon in one episode and a few episodes later they catch it.

Anyway this episode was cute.

Was a resonably entertaining episode. not too fussed about the non capture. laughed at the attempted capture by both Ash and Iris. And hey the writers remembered that Ash had swadloon lol. how longs it been since he was seen? since before the tournament?

so called this over at serebii, such a fickle little fandom we've got.

Holy shit. That was freaking Jump from the Houen League. Albeit de-lipped.

A training battlw between Swadloon and Stunfisk! :D Quite possonale the two pokemon with the least screen time on the maincast!

I thought Deino was known for its aggressive eating tactics, but this episode has a shy one?

Considering that this episode has been hyped since September, I'm pretty annoyed that Iris didn't catch that damn Deino. Now it's four episodes in a row where nothing has happened at all.

As I said, the fillers returned to the series after Arty's Gym and haven't stopped. Granted its nowhere near as bad as the Johto saga was with fillers, but I do feel like we need more important events happening more than once every 10 episodes.

Yeah, but it's worse than Sinnoh. Even between the 2nd and 3rd gyms, and the 7th and 8th gyms, I don't recall there ever being four filler episodes in a row.

Well with the villains being absent and no secondary story like Contests to make episodes about, the writers don't have much to do besides Ash's Gyms and the few training eps we got.

At least Iris finally got another episode.

Surely the writers could do an evolution or a new capture, though. The last time one of the main character's teams were changed was back in the Roggenrola episode.

Discuss fillers here and irrelevant captures and evolution here. This thread is for the events of BW56 and BW56 only.

I love how TR only got the typical 30 seconds of screentime in this episode as expected. Considering this is their first appearance after an 8 episode gap, I'd say its notable.

I like that this time the build up is more than just TR standing their like prior to the Don battle tournament. Its interesting to see the island at the end of the ep.

It was more than 30 seconds. About a minute of the episode was devoted to their setting up for the Kami trio episodes.

No surprise considering that it's been their first appearance since the end of their Battle Subway scheme.

And it wasn't much, except that Professor Seger is now officially present with TRio instead of giving them their orders on a computer.

I really wanted to take out a marker, and draw Jump's outline of lips back on.

It was a sweet episode, even though it was "Monozu come on, you can eat in front of me", then again, that's kind of a sign of trust in some creatures, eating right in front of you. I knew she'd never catch the Monozu, but I was still disappointed. Especially when the Monozu was returning into its ball, it turned and said its farewell to Iris. That was heart-warming.
