Anyone else annoyed to death by all the campaign ads running right now? I'm especially talking about the really negative ones (ie, vote for [candidate name here] and we're all doomed!), and tend to push "mute" on the remote when they come on.

Just say to yourself "four more days and then it'll all be over". Yes, they have gotten annoying, especially when I come home and every election in Metro Detroit is advertising on the local channels.

The "Do you want a guy who agrees with the crazy, evil Judges in Massachusets? "

...Those four days couldn't come faster.

My favorite/least favorite, really, here in Indy is the Republican one that has background sound that's supposed to be two kids playing Grand Theft Auto (hilarious and offensive at the same time, really), while onscreen text says the candidate the ad's maligning doesn't care about Indiana parents because he voted against some bill.

Heck, just our prosecutor race right now is enough to put you off politics for life.

Does it have Space Invader sounds for GTA? XD

The funniest one was an Anti-Democrat one on the radio that I heard, which basically boiled down to "Don't vote for this one guy, because actors in Hollywood like him, and we all know that actors are PURE EVIL!!!11!" XD

I hate when they call people with different views evil, and assume the listener shares the views of the canidate they(the ad) support

The best one here was from the Nation Republican Senate Committee or whatever it calls itself.

Bascially it's calling for change by Michigan electing Bouchard and adding to the pre-existing Republican majority. That confirms it, Dole is a complete idiot.

*is totally sick of these negitive ads*

*gets a headache after watching 5 in a row.*

Thats why I like totally hate/don't care about politics anymore. =p

Try having one that focuses on the fact that our Democratic governor supported John Kerry in his presidential run (begins and ends with a clip of the governor saying nothing but "John Kerry").

And looking on YouTube, I found out that apparently my governor is Adolf Hitler (well...according to a "Native American"-sponsored ad, and they literally say that he's Adolf Hitler) AND a member of the Axis of Evil.

Fun times.

So it's not just in Florida and Alabama that everyone is slinging mud at each other. Just attacks on character, and nothing on real issues. Yes, it is sad. I don't know if I want to vote for anyone.

It's pretty bad here in Virginia, I think TBA can support me on that.

I'm glad I don't have the moral obligation to vote.

Down here in Texas Shelly Sekula Gibbs has an add out on TV that says "Our morals? Or Nick Lampson's morals? Democrat Nick Lampson supports violent and sexual-themed video games for our children."

What's also funny to me is that on all of her ads, she says to dial her whole name in at the booth. Those dials take forever, can you inagine sitting there and slowly dialing "Shelly Sekula Gibbs"? Older people are going to have a problem with that...

(Go Nick Lampson!!!)

Don't forget the "-" which isn't on the keyboard. I'm so glad we use scantrons up here. You just fill in the circles and feed it into the box.

Don't let the ads discourage you from voting, that why they're made at this. They want turn away independants who might vote for the other side.

This is why I'm glad I don't watch much TV anymore.

Well, one of many reasons at least.

Yeah....that was great. I wish that there were political ads like that in AZ, we just have boring ones with thunder and pictures of illegals.

Apparently the Republicans won't give up. They're now making smearing telephone calls using calling machines to clog people's answering machines.

Welp, only one day left.

Today, I experienced a heartbreaking (overreacting a litte) event because of this election, so I won't miss it.
