Can pokerus infect others if it's put in the comp?

Pokerus is said to be extremely rare and it is easier to get a shiny than pokerus. I got it today, but i just don't know exactly what would happen if i put some of my infected pokemon into a box full of other pokemon that hasn't been effected.

Some say that it will disappear in 24 hours or some say it will infect everyone in the box.

Plz help me!
