Can Someone tell me how the Japanese Colosseum Bonus disk worked?

I've heard it allows for about 48 Celebi downloads, I was curious if this was directly from the bonus disk or from the actual game.

and when is the first Celebi actually created? does the bonus disc make him or does it tell the game to make it?

After all the Pokémon are purified and if there are no more than 5 Pokémon in the party, it is possible to visit the Relic Shrine on the bonus disc. Celebi will then be added to the save file and can also be downloaded to a GBA cartridge.

That was an insult to the poster's clear knowledge of the simple requirements.

Colosseum contains many unused pieces of data (as does XD), among which is the data for the Celebi Bonus Disc event. Although not directly used in the main game, it seems that the Bonus Disc reads the images that are stored in the Memory Card file - the Bonus Disc would not operate if it were not for the existence of this data. Having said that, it is not as if the Bonus Disc merely unlocks the option in the main game - it has to be used for every subsequent download to a GBA game pak.

As with every external means of acquiring a Pokémon (including Ho-oh from Colosseum's Battle Mode to Story Mode), the said Pokémon's data is determined upon finishing the download. The Bonus Disc does not write some function onto Colosseum (or the GBA game pak later on) which directs it to create Celebi as soon as the save file is accessed - but rather, it edits the save file so as to have Celebi in the party.

This means that if the player is dissatisfied with Celebi's nature or IVs, he has not but the ability to use the library of GBA games at his disposal for better luck. When he has exhausted these ends, he can always opt to restart Colosseum (which brings the supply of Celebi downloads back to 48) or any of his GBA games.

How is answering the questions an insult to knowledge? <_< Yes, I don't have has many words as you but that's for people who know more to add in later.

If you examine the question carefully enough, you will see that the poster was most likely aware of the piece of information you provided. It goes without saying that you did not offend him by lending your knowledge, but it did seem as if you had only read the thread title.

Thank you, Unown Lord.

I know, if a person attempted to use a FreeLoader and the Bonus Disk it would fail to read the save for the English version. However if one to use the USB memory card and a save file region converter, is there any chance it would work?
