So I've not really battled in the Metagame much at all really. And when I do I've just used my ingame team. I've been trying to beat the Battle Maison and running into difficulty.

Would anyone be willing to help me build a team to beat the Battle Maison with, and possibly use as an actual team for competitive battling?

Sure, we'll do what we can :) What format are you interested in playing (Singles, Doubles) and what strategy/Pokemon do you want to use?

Well I was going to focus on Singles first. The sort of strategy I wanted to follow was quick and powerful, so I can just punch through the teams at the Battle Maison.

Maison Singles almost always centers around M-Kangaskhan and she plays into the style that you want to play.

I also use M-Kangaskhan on Battle Maison Singles, since it's not useable in Smogon OU it's a good chance to some of those powerful Pokemon.

Try something like this:
Kangaskhan (Kangaskhanite)
Scrappy -> Parental Bond
Adamant
252 HP, 252 Attack, 6 Def

Return/Stomp
Sucker Punch
Earthquake
Power-Up Punch

Power-Up Punch with Parental Bond will give you two Attack boosts then proceed to sweep. Sucker Punch for priority and Earthquake for coverage. Return for STAB but Stomp can be something to try because of the 30% flinch chance per hit.

As for the other two members, I suggest having someone with a Focus Sash (I use Alakazam or Gengar) as a backup plan for anything unexpected. You can try another speedy attacker for the last slot. I usually go for quick and strong attackers and gotten a streak of 40+ wins, I can't remember what team I used but I'm sure other members can share what they used.

Just watch for attacks with less than 100% accuracy, Battle Maison likes favoring the AI... @_@

Hey there! Here:s the team I used to beat Singles/Super Singles

Greninja @ Life Orb/Focus Sash
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Scald/Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot

Standard Greninja. Focus sash to last a hit and retaliate back, Life Orb to hit really hard. If you want power, go for hydro pump. If you don't wanna miss, use scald/surf.

Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Extreme Speed

You can set up a Dragon Dance and sweep.

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower

I just like using manectric ;p Lightningrod/Intimidate are great abilities. M-Kang is better though.

Would Haxorus be a good substitute for Dragonite?

So far I'm thinking M-Kanghaskhan, Haxorus and one other.

I personally prefer Dragonite as it has the Multiscale ability (reduces damage afflicted to the Pokémon by 50% if at maximum HP). You can set up a free Dragon Dance, And then sweep with Dragon Claw/Outrage(STAB), Extremespeed(+2 priority for those who have a sliver of health remaining) and Fire Punch/Earthquake/Hurricane/Roost for the last slot.

I haven't really used a Haxorus in my life, but here's a standard moveset for it:
Haxorus @ Life Orb/Lum Berry/Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 240 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab

Dragon Dance over Swords dance in my opinion. Haxorus is Base 97 speed and is outsped by a lot of threats. Speed EVs are for outspeeding Jolly Dragonites/max speed Kyurem-B, and Mega Gyarados IIRC. Life Orb for more power, Lum Berry to avoid Status, and Focus Sash to last a hit. Poison Jab for Fairies/Grass Types, Earthquake for steel types, and Outrage/Dragon Claw as STAB.

What Haxorus set are you thinking? M-Kanga, Greninja, and a random 3rd tend to get you fairly high in Maison so if you can get a decent set put together it'll probably be ok.
