I'd like to receive CN to watch Pokemon episodes "live"

But here's the problem: I don't live in the USA but in Europe, Germany to be precise.
What we can receive here is a "light version" of CN which, however, is only available via Pay TV and doesn't air Pokemon anyways.

My question now:
Is it possible by any imaginable means (satellite antenna, Online TV ...) to receive the "original" channel CN outside the US?

I've already searched the internet for further information...without success

I think it might be possible through the American Forces satellite TV system but that is for US troops and their families on active duty only.

Is CN as in Cartoon Network? If so, we get it in the UK, but the only pokemon I have seen on it is old Advanced Gen and first D/P episodes before it became Battle Dimention. Nothings really live on it as far as I know. All newer pokemon episodes are shown on Jetix here, but they repear the shows quite a lot. I must have seen the sipritomb episode showed 20 times on it and the veilstone city episode with the gligar tooo many times and they repeat shows alot then get round to showing new episodes.

(Wonders if this makes anyone hope the US invades their country )

I'd be the first one! You guys already helped us once to get rid of our dictator 60 years ago.
So, how about helping us again? ^^ This time to get rid of bad TV programs. :D
Forget Iraq! We are a developing country in terms of TV channels!
I guess, the new CARE packages would then contain licences to receive all US channels worldwide :bounce:

Until now we have had to be content with CNN only.:-/

ok,joking apart,back to the topic:
Does anyone know an answer to my question?:uhoh:

Judging from your profile, you haven't been around for 60 years. You've only been around for 22. Yes, I'm sure they got Cartoon Network in other countries outside the US. Want me to demonstrate for you?

So you dont even get regional CN in your country? Australia gets CN but its a totally different schedule and the live host segments feature Australian people based in Australian locations etc.

There are a few online live streams of American television shows on the internet. I don't know how legal they are but if you can watch a free stream of a pay tv channel in another country you would only assume its not.

Really the only reason for me watching streams is to catch Pokemon and the baseball. ;-)

CONGRATS ON YOUR POST, Ben_Cousins! You can even get Cartoon Network in Mexico. I've done it many times that I've been there.

CN shows over here too. But its really far behind in terms of newer episodes and stuff.

You can't really get the same exact shows on at the same time in a different country or time zone that you can get on Cartoon Network at home because when I went to Mexico, they played shows that they have stopped playing at home on Cartoon Network. One time, they were all in Spanish and if you watch Cartoon Network in America like the US or in Japan, you're more likely to be watching Adult Swim at night if you leave it on that channel and since we didn't have Adult Swim when I was watching this same channel in Mexico ever, at any time, I wouldn't really know for sure about everyone's TV schedule. If you checked your TV guide outside the U.S., Mexico, and Japan, then I suppose that that'll really answer your question about receiving Cartoon Network outside my country and their country South of mine.
