I remember back in 2009 or 2010 I was searching Pokémon episodes on Wikipedia for season 12 Galactic Battles and I saw and episodes description about how...

Ash, Dawn and Brock were on their way to Sunnyshore City in the Sinnoh region for Ash's 8th gym badge but got lost in the forest along the way. They unexpectedly ran into Delia Ketchum. (Ash's mom) Delia starts to explain to Ash that she misses him and wants him to quit being a Pokémon trainer and come back home. Ash obviously being reluctant of such a request is then challenged by Delia to a Pokémon battle to decide if Ash will stay a trainer or return back to Pallet Town in Kanto.

I typed that description in my own words but I saw something similar on Wikipedia. Now I know that anyone can edit Wikipedia but I would like to know is that was this a cancelled episode plot or something? It would have been interesting to see an episode of Ash having a Pokémon battle with his own mother.

Sorry to disappoint you, but that episode doesn't exist. ^^

Anyone can edit Wikipedia, so someone must have created a fake description for whatever reason.

I remember back at the beginning of Best Wishes I read on a Pokemon Wiki (that wasn't Bulbapedia) that there was an episode where Celebi was in Unova and was with Jessie's mother and they found Jessie and it was emotional or something and 2010-me was really excited because I wasn't thinking and forgot that it was just some fan wiki.

The point here is that these things do (unfortunately) happen a lot, although that would have been an interesting (and odd) episode.

Ash battling Delia would be so awesome, but she only has Mimey and anything Ash has can kill him. But Miyamoto finding Jessie in Unova? That would be so amazing. I hate people who come up with these fake episodes, because it makes me mad that trolls can come up with better episodes than the actual anime team.
