Hey guys, remember Freakazoid? my favorite villain is defina

It's a reference. Candle Jack is a bogeyman-esque character who captures those who say his name. His first episode is one of my favorites, too.

And for those of you who never saw Freakazoid, you're definitly missing out. A DVD set recently came out, and is absolutely worth the money. It's one of the greatest comedy cartoons ever made.

more recently, he's become something of an internet meme. In Freakazoid!, a character saying his name causes him to abduct that character, so when a user types his name (which as you can see, I'm trying to avoid doing XD), that user cuts off their sentence to give the impression of an abduction (or I think that's how it works).

But you know what I think's even scarier than him? Air that's been turned into wood. XD

Sinbad getting another TV show is much much much worse.

Seriously though, Freakazoid was an awesome show. Easily the best thing KidsWB produced before they became crap.

canceling that show was one of the first fucking huge mistakes they made.

I used to love Freakazoid. Was one of those semi-intelligent cartoons that Warner Bros. put out in the mid-90s that were clever, somewhat educational, and still a hell of a lot of fun.

Internet memes suck.

As far as Freakazoid! goes...I'm definitely a fan, but I can see how there can be people who don't really "get" it. I think

I never saw it (otherwise I probably would have gotten the joke in the first post), but I hear the main character is a lot like The Creeper from Batman TAS. Is that true?

Not really beyond the whole "they're both zany, and freakishly-human looking." Freakazoid's more like the Mask from the movie of the same name (and cartoon). But fewer sight-gags and more one-liners.

Freakazoid! Man, that and Earthworm Jim were my favorite shows on Kids WB. I might have been considered "too old" for the both of them (I was 20 when Freakazoid first began airing) but I loved them dearly.

There's a DVD set?! Why was I not informed? I simply must get it; I need it to live! That and I don't think I've ever seen Candlejack in its entirety. I might finally be able to watch that epis

No one told me it existed either, I just randomly found it at Walmart a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, the set's been out since like July. I would have picked it up when I went back to the States, but at the time I didn't really have the extra finances.

Apparently, Bruce Timm worked on the show but left when the producers decided to take the show in a different direction from what Mr. Timm envisioned. Apparently, "Beware the Creeper" was what Bruce Timm envisioned Freakazoid! being.

Sadly, Animaniacs volume 4 is indefinitely postponed.

Yep, Freakazoid season one exists. Just ask me, who owns it and laughs my damn ass off every chance I get. :D

Seriously though, with how often it's scheduling changed, I was mad I never got to watch Freakazoid that much on Kids' WB. If I HAD, then maybe the show would still be around. We wouldn't have to deal with the more uninspired stuff, like the third season of Jackie Chan onward or...dare I say it...Loonatics.

I did, however, watch it on Cartoon Network at some time when they were airing old Kids WB shows (Though, I never saw Pinky & The Brain there...but it was on the Nicktoons Network. Weird.)

So yes. Freakazoid is awesomeness. And the first episode I saw? Candle Jack. The Scream-O-Vision alone was just hilarity. End of dis

Aaaaah, gotcha there. :p
