Apparently Marvel is becoming the king of loopholes. After bringing Captain Marvel back to life using time displacement, another Captain is making his return...thanks to time displacement. But this Captain isn't alone. He's bringing...Invaders. And Alex Ross. Marvel announced at this past weekend's Wizard World Chicago that Alex Ross was back at Marvel, and they've now revealed his project: a 12 issue miniseries simply called...Avengers/Invaders. A story in current continuity that features the original Invaders (Captain America, Namor, and the original Human Torch) teaming with "the Avengers." Presumably the New team, as Luke Cage plays a role in the story.

Someone dying in Comic Books is like someone dying in DBZ...you don't even need to care because they'll come back someway.

But even though it is to be the original Invaders, it could be whoever they tap to be the new Captain America. IT doesn't mean that it is definitely Steve Rogers. And besides, the last time the Invaders were around in the Avengers book they had US Agent running with them. So you never know, they could make him Cap again.

1. They've already said that it is Rogers, just from the past.

2. US Agent's working as a special SHIELD agent in Canada with Omega Flight.

3. Different Invaders. Really only connected by name and through mutual association with Thin Man.

4. So far, Tony's dead set against there being another Captain America. While someone could pick up the mantle (Winter Soldier's the front runner), someone as connected to the government as US Agent is wouldn't be the new Cap. Plus the government doesn't have the shield anymore.

Well now I feel a bit sheepish. I am not as on top of things as I used to be like when I worked in a comic shop. Sorry, for jumping the gun. And I had forgotten that US Agent is with Omega Flight now.

Unfreakinreal that they would bury Cap and now bring him back like that.

Eh, they brought back Captain Marvel last year. Brought back Magik a couple of months ago. At least Captain America's probably going to return to the time he left at the end of the mini-series.

I'm a little behind in my comics, about a moths worth. I have been reading how they are bringing Majik back. That I actually like. Just hope that they bring Cap back right and not in a screwed up, no real explanation way.
