Everybody's done it at some point- tried pressing B to make an automatic catch. However, not everybody's Capture Mojo is as simple. So, if you have a method of Capture Mojo that's even slightly different from a B-Down or even crossing your fingers, post it here.

My method takes several steps. First, I start breathing to the beat of the music for luck. I toss the ball, and hold the B button until the second wobble, then release. If it captures, great. If it doesn't I try again another 2 times. If the third time doesn't work, I weaken the wild Pokemon a little more, and repeat until the capture is successsful.
 
This doesn't work always (and it doesn't): When the Ball is thrown, I hold down the A and B buttons at the same time. When the Ball opens, I let go of A, then press the down button. Later, as the Ball shakes, I rotate my thumb around the D-pad. That doesn't work (because it all depends on luck), but I do it anyway because I heard that from someone.
 
When I played the Gameboy Advanced games on the Gameboy Advanced SP, whenever I threw a ball I would always close the lid thinking that by some high-power it would improve my chances or something.

What i'd do is this, when i find the ball i need i throw it, then as its opening up and sucking in the Pokemon, i take a deeeeeeeeep breath, hold it for a second, then slowly ever soo slowly release my breath. All the while i tilt my GameBoy (or GBASP/DSL) in the direction the pokeball is going to tilt (in my mind it makes the ground move and makes the ball tilt, kinda like Kirby: Tilt n' Tumble) and then if im all out of breath by the 3rd shake, i know i've got em! :D

actually, this has worked for me 95% of the time in all my yrs lol i even do this when playing on the GameCube (but only do the slow releasing breath thing)
 
I've never had a capture mojo...

Even back in the day when people said down+B makes it work, I was just like "What a load of bullshit" (you know, using my 9 year old lexicon).

Actually, you wouldn't be accused of necromancy because that thread is currently on the first page.
