Capturing Screencaps From An Electronic Device

I've asked this before, but didn't get much help.

So how can I capture screencaps from DVD device and transfer them to my PC? I have a few dilemmas here:

-My HP Mini does not have a DVD or CD-ROM port. I already thought of that.

-Preferably, I'd like to do this on an Insignia Portable DVD player.

I have all the DVDs I want screencaps from, which I'm sure is better quality than the few images I could find on Google or any other search engine. So is there some kind of wire I can use to do this, or what?

Can you save them on iTunes and then e-mail them to your HP mini?

Screenshots? I don't think so. I don't have iTunes, so, no, but I can email stuff to myself for sure.

Sorry to sound dumb, but I don't have an iPod. And how would iTunes work on a dvd player?
