I heard about the Pokemon Manga called Card Master. What is this? Does anyone have the scans? Or some info? Is this based on the Card Game for GBC?

It's a one-volume manga based on the TCG.

I plan to do a feature on it for my website after I get some of episode comparisons out of the way.

Will you make some pics? I mean heroes pics.

Is this Card Masters? It's in a few volumes of a card club magazine I have.
No, it is called Energy Club. But... It may be cool. You interested me, Blackjack.

It'll be the same format as the Pocket Monsters, Emerald, and The Seven Nights' Star of Wishing, Jirachi manga sections of my website.

Also, if you follow the link, you'll see a black-and-white scan of the cover to Card Master.

I know. I've seen this.
Ah, Dogasu tell me Do Grand Masters appear in the Card Master manga?
And... WHOA! the full title is Mezase Card Master (I aim to be Card Master) it is visible on cover.

Saw the section, looks AWESOME!

Like Yugioh meets Pokemon (except without a Pharaoh, rich jerks, Kemo, or Millenium Items).

Atleast...I assume none of those things come later. :P

What's with the Cyndaquil line on the cover? The first chapter makes it look like Charizard is his specialty.

The graphic novel was released in December 2000, which, IIRC, was right when G/S were coming out. I think the first few chapters were written before the G/S cards were released and that the later chapters were written after the new cards had been released.

Do you plan on writing up on more than one volume for some of these rarer mangas? Or are they just there to give us an idea as to how much manga they got over there? Either way I like these sections a lot. Good work.

Small things I spotted: Venusaur's Pokemon Power is actually "Energy Trans".
And whenever you mention characteristics, (other than "He said he doesn't know, so she goes over the characteristics of the card.") they're known in the english TCG as "Pokemon Power". Although I think it's pretty obvious to anyone who plays the game, and probably makes it easier for those who don't to understand.

I want to do the first volume of each manga so that all the titles on my main page get represented. After that, I plan to go back and starting doing second and third volume synopsis wherever applicable.

Whenever I go back to Japan, I hope to be able to pick up some of the more obscure stuff so I can really flesh that section out.

I'll also be sure to make the changes you noted in my next update.

Why didn't you fix the Professor Oak card (you discard your hand, not shuffle it into your deck)? Or did the guy who play it cheat?

Nope, it was Professor Oak.

I just read through the second chapter, and in it Kenta and the crew go to Hawaii to compete in the Cross-Cultural party. There, they meet a rich American girl named Vanessa who defeats Shou, prompting Kenta to challenge her to a battle.

Sounds like it might be based off real-life events. They had something that I believe was also in Hawaii called the "Super Trainer Showdown". Could just be coincedence though.
