Cartoon Network Movie Marathon thread

It starts in a few hours and goes for most of the day. I won't get to see any of them since I'll be at a bridal shower.

But I can enjoy the best parts--the summaries:


"Ash and Lizabeth must help a Ranger protect the Manaphy egg from a pirate"

"A Pokémon collector hopes to gather the three rare birds that are prophesied to release the deadly sea monster, Lugia"

"Ash, Pikachu, Brock, and Misty must rescue a little girl and her mother from mystical forces". (Um, did they miss the part where Delia *isn't* Molly's mother?)

"Two thieves go to an island city to steal a giant jewel that has immense powers"

"The Pokemon must rescue Pikachu from the clutches of evil Mew" (Now that would have made the movie a shitload more interesting)

They ruined the moment at the end of the second movie by breaking up Lugia's Song. It's great to see these movies, some of which i haven't seen in like 5 or more years.

They skipped Pikachu and Pichu, which is a real shame. It was one of my favorite Pikachu shorts.

I haven't been consistantly watching these (because I had a movie marathon of my own on VHS), but ... they cut up Lugia's Song? Oh, that is blasphamous.

The last description killed me. They're different for me, but that's probably because I have a different cable provider. We don't even GET a description for Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. The Pokemon Rangers one is the same, though. In Spell of the Unown's, they don't even mentioned Delia. Still, I love seeing the descriptions and seeing how much these people mess things up.

Annie and Oakley are eye-easy. Godlike power seems to be a recurring theme in the Pokemon filmography.

For some reason, the fifth movie summary made me laugh the most. ^^;
I guess it's because I imagined the whole movie being about Zanna and Rion trying to lug around a GIANT JEWEL.

The movies were pretty good, I didn't sit through the whole marathon since I have all the movies on DVD anyway, but it was nice to see bits and pieces.
