Wow, did Brock look like Jaden for a moment there? Also, I see that they kept the Japanese BGM, Naetle, Pochama, Hikozaru Toujou!!. I don't really like the CotD's voice. It sounds really weird.

Please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, leave the music alone in this episode. I'm begging here. This was one of the most spectacularly scored episodes in the entire series and captured the emotion and action of the battle 120% perfectly. PLEASE, leave it in the dub.

*sits waiting worriedly until Thursday (or Friday, rather, since I wont see the episode until I've downloaded it)*

"What in the name of the Boss"? I'd expect that from Meowth, but from James?

And Jesse refered to Giovanni by name twice in one sentence. That's kind of odd.

Also, what the hell is Rosebay's accent supposed to be? I'm getting hints of pseudo-British, but it doesn't sound like anything.

WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH STARAVIA'S VOICE? It sounds like a deep-voiced woman trying to trill and be overly theatrical.

So it looks like Mimic is exactly the same as Mirror Move in the anime.

OH. MY. GOSH.

Sarah was absolutely AMAZING in this episode. By far, her best performance ever. The tone and smoothness of the voice... the delivery of the lines... man, I'm just lovin' it.

And uh... is Staravia a girl? 0_o Lol odd voice, but I'm just happy that Ash's voice is rockin' now. Def my fav PUSA dubbed episode because of this.

1. I can't figure out that girl's accent.
2. BISHONEN BROCK OVERLOAD! (He does look like Jaden!)
3. Giovanni fantasies are always cool.
4. Hoothoot turned Meowth into a stoner. That's always good.
5. That huge wooden robot rules! What did they name it again?
6. Ash's new Staravia is all kinds of awesome! Shame he forgot its name for a second.
7. It's great that Bonsly learned Mimic, but even greater that Mimic rocks so hard!

I'M GONNA WATCH IT AGAIN!

Best thing about the episode: Sarah's voice acting was amazing.

Worst thing about this episode- AAAAAAAGH STARAVIA'S VOICE. It makes me want to slap something.

Another CoTD with an incomprehensible accent. Nando, Rosebay.... who's next?

Also, something to note.... my brother and I were outside the other day, and a bird fell from the sky with an injured leg, which reminded me of this episode. I didn't wrap it (rabies, anyone?), but I named it Mukkubird, scooped it up gently with a shovel, and put it in a cooler with a damp cloth in it. Aaaand.... my brother put it out in direct sunlight to "be with its friends". Needless to say, Mukkubird died, probably from dehydration. Great story, no? *shakes head*

I don't see why Staravia's voice is as bad as you all make it out to believe. I thought it was all right to me. 0_0

Granted it wasn't good, but it was fine.

Wow Sarah's voice was fantastic, I hope it continues to be more and more great like this. Seriously she did a great job on Ash voice today, the episode was great but yah the birds voice was scarry IMO once I heard it I was so scared by it LOL. So over all I give it a 9/9

I've hear that girl's exact accent once before, and that was in a cartoon about Austrailia (BBlinky Bill, maybe?) Anyway, you can thank Michelle Knotz for that, I believe.

Also, I knew Staravia's voice would turn out this way ever since they gave that voice to Staraptor. Just a note, it's the same VA who voiced Skarmory in the Mystery Dungeon special. You know, I wonder if SHE is the one voicing Dawn; the voice Skarmory used after going back to normal may not be too far from Dawn's, and would explain why they're using that VA for Pokemon, since they always stick to their main cast for that stuff and it certainly isn't any of the other VAs.

Also, why were the Taillow voice by Jimmy Zoppi? They've got Kayzie Rogers in their pocket, why neglect her? Why is she still even in the main cast credits if they're not gonna use her for anything?

They managed to make Bugsy a girl. Impressive, since Bugsy looks like a girl in the first place. XP But aside from her design, I disliked the CotD. Weird name, weird accent (I couldn't understand a word she was saying), and she fell into the "Oh, I know something bad is happening but I'm not going to check to discover what it is until the twerps meet me" hole. Blech. No me gusta.

Starly's boring. Really. And Staravia's voice is not too good. Gender neutral like Swellow would have been better.

Oh, Brock. How you amuse me. :D And Bonsly was funny. It learning Mimic and being in awe of Starly's evolution was some good foreshadowing of the next ep. Speaking of which, the preview had Sudowoodo's voice. It sounds like a normal Sudowoodo, but unique enough to be its own character. Awesome. :D I'm excited for tomorrow.

Jessie and James in skimpy outfits. Meowth getting hypnotised. Go Team Rocket!

I liked the training in the beginning of the episode. Nice reference to Swellow's training to learn Aerial Ace. Looks like Ash is remembering things, huh?

The media res is pretty annoying now. o.x

Well, good to see them keeping some bgm they never do. Too bad they won't keep all the music. :/

So, time for a beta rating system! Emphasis on beta, mind you.

Animation: Got some really nice shots with stuff like Brock's flirting eyes, Meowth's red eyes, and the bird Pokémon's creepy... eyes... Someone like eyes, huh? Two Pikas.

Human characters: CotD sucked, but good moments for Brock, Jessie and James. One Pika.

Pokémon: Starly's boring. But Bonsly's cute. And Hoothoot! :D Plus a bunch of Swellow and Pidgeot and such. One and a half Pikas.

Plot advancement: An evolution, a new move learnt, and major foreshadowing for the next episode. Two Pikas.

Re-runitude: Well, it seemed good enough to watch at least once or twice. One Pika.

Seven and a half Pikas. Fair enough. 8D

That was a horrible accent the CotD girl had, many of the words when she started a sentence were indistinguishable.

and Starvaria... sounds a little too classy for the "easy-to-find-bird-of-the-generation", heh.

Outside of that, an entertaining episode. Team Rocket's robot was awesome as always :)
