Lots of Dawn this week.

I'm looking forward to seeing the debut of Zoey. I just hope PUSA aren't going to turn her into this generation's James/Harley.
 
We already know CN is only going to air up till D/P 31 before going into rerun mode for a few months. Dogasu and Duke from Toonzone said it several times.

Dawn stars in all four eps this week.
 
I have a question......

For this season of the dub, why are the titles being read by either Ash or Dawn (in the respective episodes that center around them)?

Was it like that in the Japanese version? O.O


If so, then I find that to be weird, cause they didn't do it with Ash and May during the Hoenn seasons.



Anyway, I don't have a problem with Dawn reading the episode titles or anything. It's just that I miss Ash being the one to read all the titles, like he did in the previous seasons (it's a fangirl thing). ^^o

Oh well. On the bright side, this means I won't have to cringe at Sarah's titles as much as I did throughout Battle Frontier.
 
Zoey certainly isn't feminine, so I can't see that happening.

Yep, is was (and is) like that in the originals. I like that though . . maybe because I really love Hikari though.

It would be perfect if dang PUSA just kept the original title music in though! D:

Which is what confused me. But then I think even in the dub, James likes girls (they never tried to cover over his liking girls, even as "fabulous" as 4Kids made him).

And PUSA didn't make Harley flamboyant, which confused me even more. He was already plenty flamboyant before PUSA or 4Kids got him.

Dammit, they're *still* not captioning over the popups. Which is irritating me. Is it like that on other CN shows?

And how can ANYONE live in that world and not know about Jennies and Joys?

Say, rice balls! But the art of them was really weird and made it look like they'd been edited *in*.

And how come Brock's giving milk to Bonsly? It doesn't seem that a rock-type would be lactose tolerant.

And of COURSE Buneary knows Ice Beam.

And they're still using Torchic as the "dizzy" expression.

Wow, I must say Sarah did quite a good job in this episode. The improvement between this episode and the rest of the season surprised me. Granted, she wasn't a~m~a~z~i~n~g, but I think she's on a better track now. What do you think Lisa?
 
Piplup seeing the Torchic was a pretty funny image I thought. XP

Buneary is... odd. I had thought that it being horny for Pikachu would have been hilarious, but it didn't really seem that way to me. Maybe it's just because it was done differently than I thought it would be, but it wasn't too enticing.

Pikachu offering to give itself up for Buneary's sake for cute. ^^

No filler character. I'm kinda anti-CotD unless they serve a point or appear in the games, so I'm glad to see DP's appearantly trying to avoid them.

Who wants to bet Nurse Joy drove for about ten seconds and then said "screw this"? Pokemopolis is right, after all.

Buneary must have been pretty powerful to freeze the twerps and a fair bunch of their Pokémon in one blast. XD Yay for Croagunk saving the day.

Pretty unremarkable imo. Maybe 8/10.

I agree. I cringe less and less throughout the series.

Of course, I don't want to go into too much detail =P

Cute episode. The preview thing was kept as is. And Croagunk is pure awesomeness.
 
I enjoyed this episode. Nothing super-remarkable about it, but it was fun.

My cable company titled it as "Setting The World On Its Bunerary" in the display :O

Dawn reads the title cards so much better than Ash does. Thankfully two out of the remaining three episodes this week are solid Dawn-centric episodes....

Despite the fact that I still feel the same way about Sarah (and in my opinion, she'll never top Veronica in voicing Ash), I really think she improved with this episode.



In fact, when I heard Ash's first lines in this episode, I almost thought some other VA was voicing him. Yeah, it was that much of a shock to me, lol. XD

Of course, after that, I realized that Sarah had just improved since Thursday's episode. I could tell, because I heard a clear difference in the way Sarah was performing him - it was there with most of the lines that Ash said. I'm not sure what she did in order to make that change, but whatever she did it worked. So congrats to Sarah on improving that much. It was enough for me (and other fans) to notice the slight voice difference.


Still, let's see if this is just a one or two episode thing, or if she can actually keep this up throughout D/P......



EDIT: Oh, and as for the episode itself, I enjoyed it. I really liked watching this one!! :)

The things I liked best:

- improvement from Sarah (which is something I've been waiting for)

- Ash's attitude towards "bed hair", and how he believes it doesn't matter what your hair looks like, since you can just wear a hat (I love that attitude, and how he likes hats so much!!). Of course, Aipom taking Ash's hat away just made this scene even better. ^_^

- Ash and his friends getting frozen (by the way, how long were they like that for? 10 minutes, or was it more like 15?) Wow, imagine being frozen in ice for that long. That would be so cold. XD

- Buneary's so cute!! And personally, I'm glad that they gave no indication towards Pikachu's gender (I knew they wouldn't hint at any specific gender, since Pikachu is neutral in the anime - at least in the dub anyway). Also, in the scene when Buneary was crying, it seemed to me like Pikachu doesn't feel the same way about it and that it shot it down because it likes Ash (I could tell cause Pikachu said "Pikapi")

- great battles, and awesome music (I heard some *new* dub music as well, and I wonder if that song was dub produced BGM or if that was Japanese BGM...)

Is it confirmed that Nozomi's name is spelt 'Zoey'? 'Cos that's just a horrible, horrible spelling of Zoe... Chucking on the 'y' just makes me think of her as a Kangaroo...

:sigh: I suppose some things will never change, and of course I'm not talking about Ash's voice actress.

MOVING ON!
1. Now that's an interesting way to use Bubblebeam. Take THAT, Herbal Essence!
2. And of course, the instant Ash mentions his hat, Aipom runs off with it. Again! (Insta Win)
3. Brock getting Poison Jabbed and then dragged off by the ankle, only to recover seconds later. I wonder if that's how long it took after the Croagunk episode.
4. Buneary winking at Pikachu! KAWAII!!!
5. Croagunk breaking through that ice in one hit, all the while maintaining its mellowness (again, Insta Win)
6. Jessie says "I hate machines." Funny how that's never stopped them for nine seasons!

Enjoy Buneary while you can, folks, because Dawn sadly neglects it once she makes her next captures.

Buneary is Dawn's most underused Pokemon ever. :/
 
I noticed new BGM this episode. Was this Japanese music? Or new dub composition?
