Chances of Hoopa's Appear and the Cosplay Pikachu special getting dubbed?

I really want to watch them, but don't want to have to watch them twice (original and dubbed). I know TPCi doesn't usually dub side stories, but they've dubbed movie prologues before (Mewtwo-Prologue to Awakening and Diancie: Princess of the Diamond Domain) and of course they've dubbed the Mega Evolution shorts. What do you guys think are the odds?

I'm not sure if they will dub the Hoopa shorts, because they are so insignificant. If they do, I can see them airing on Pokémon.com, like the Mega Evolution Pokédex shorts with Alain and Mairin.

And the Pikachu special/episode/whatever (I really don't know what to call it anymore) is more or less just a regular episode, so I think chances are pretty high it will be dubbed.

I haven't seen the Pikachu thing but it sounds like the things that set it apart from a regular episode were minimal-- if it gets dubbed TPCi will probably just edit it to make it seem 100% like a regular episode (regardless of if it flows well or not)

Unless the dub producers have weird logic, they should air the Cosplay Pikachu Episode.

I still have no idea why it's considered a special, especially since the only reason its being considered is because it's split up into different acts because that makes sense.

It doesn't matter that it aired on TV Tokyo, has the main cast of characters of the current series within the episode, has an actual consistent plot. No, it's stylized differently. somehow making it a special.

So I really hope TPCI doesn't think using weird logic, and airs this just the same.

I hope those dreadful Hoopa things are skipped: They're so redundant imho. As for the Pikachu thing, I'd like to see it dubbed since it looked fun.

The Mewtwo special was longer standard episode and technically considered a sequel of sorts to the first movie and was rather disconnected to the main series, and the Raikou specials did NOT have Ash, Misty and Brock in them unless you're referring to some other Raikou special that I'm not aware of. But the only ones I'm aware had Jimmy, Vincent, and Marina, and they were definitely not the main characters of the main series, unless I'm in a different universe where Ash wasn't always the main character.

The Pikachu cosplay episode took place in Kalos region, would be considered no different than any other episode, and yet is labelled a special just because its segmented into different parts.

Well they did dub the Mega Evolution shorts, so I don't see why they can't dub the Hoopa Appear shorts and I don't see why they wouldn't dub the Cosplay Pikachu special.

There might be a chance that they'll dub the Hoopa shorts. They'd be up on their YouTube channel and Pokemon.com for awhile, but they could be included. I don't see the issue with the Pikachu special. It sounds like a pretty regular episodes from what I've heard, so I think that there's a really good chance that they'll dub it.

I'd say they have pretty good chances.

TPCI dubs everything these days (except specials starring former Ash-tachii members), so I can see it happening at some point, even if they end up premiering on the website and don't air on TV.

What I'm more curious about is how they'll handle THAT part of Frank's flashback... :uhoh:

Depends on how TPCI already handled the death related episodes that already aired in XY.

But I assume, they won't change it, because this isn't something that needs to be censored. Death happens way too frequently that censoring that Frank's wife "passed away, I assume" or maybe a Pikachu not sure, someone died, would be honestly quite ridiculous.

Kids probably hear about death in the news all the time, don't think a cartoon needs to censor a passing mention of death. Because if Frank's wife did die, and that's what was being said, they'd have to censor the marriage scene as well.

I can't see the Hoopa Appear Plan shorts being dubbed; they are so minimal and pointless that TPCi may as well not even give a damn. The shorts really doesn't promote the movie in any way. But I can see SS034 being dubbed because it is so integral to the plot of M18. I'm not sure if the scene with the statue will be kept intact though.

As for SS033, I can see that being dubbed. There appears to be no distinction between this episode and any other main series episode; all of the main characters appear. But if it does get dubbed, I can see TPCi taking out the four title cards and replacing it with that standard one they always use at the beginning of the episode (just like they did in XY014).
