Changes in Modern Generation Games You Prefer?

Allowing all Pokemon in the party to share experience gain was a pretty big deal imo. I'm glad that it's become a permanent feature and not just exclusive to one game. Training was a huge chore in earlier generations to the point of causing me dread (especially in Gen 2) but Gen 6 fixed that problem.

Also not having to waste time with HMs is nice. I'd cite the larger variety of catchable Pokemon in most newer games as a plus too, except that BD/SP kinda set us back a bit by limiting us to Pokemon from just the first four generations.

Can I answer “most of them”? Even the Exp. All is a feature I liked (back when it was optional, anyways). Two other things I’ll shout out are character customization ( I can self-insert much easier now that my avatar can wear glasses and have a more accurate skin tone) and move relearners being free (is this the case in SV? It certainly was in SwSh).
I bring up that last bit because it makes stone evolutions so much less painful to use. Dishonorable shoutout to ORAS Lotad, who learns Giga Drain at level 30 and whose evolutions can’t learn it at all! And forget about the Energy Ball TM, too, that’s only for after the Delta Episode! So unless you delay Lotad’s evolution for 16 levels, your best Grass move on it will probably be Grass Knot. :bulbaFacepalm:
There isn't a "move relearner" in SV because it adopted PLA's movepool system (which is objectively better than a move relearner, IMO).

Perhaps the character models? I have seen a lot of videos lately that claim that pixel art is more expressive but I disagree (not a Colress joke lol). For example if you compare just how expressive Volo is compared to Cynthia's little sprite. I hope when Gen 5 gets remade N gets an expressive 3D model. The zoom-in on his face when he talks sometimes is awkward because his facial expressions don't always match the tone of his dialogue.
