From Gen I to Gen IV, all Pokémon names were capitalized. This was changed in Gen V, with all Pokémon names correctly punctuated, ie: JIGGLYPUFF to Jigglypuff

Before PokéTransferring, do you change your Pokémon's name from capital letters to correct punctuation?

I do, because capitalized Pokémon names just doesn't look right in Gen V

If the Pokémon is part of any of my past competitive teams, I change it. There are a couple of instances where I forgot though, but it doesn't bother me.

Otherwise, too much time to change names of Pokémon that will just rot in the box.

I forgot, and now Infernape shall forever be called INFERNAPE :/

Well, a large portion of the Pokémon I had on previous games were from files that had since been deleted - I wouldn't be able to change their names if I wanted to. I've decided to embrace the all-caps, since not having their names formatted all the same way would be very annoying to me.

All capital names bother me, but I usually don't bother to change them.

I don't have to change anything because pretty much every single pokemon I have is nicknamed in correct punctuation. I like nicknaming.

Every single PKMN I've trasferred to BW that wasn't originally from FireRed was renamed into proper grammatical format. I'm a bit of a grammar nut.

I usually nickname, so it hasn't really been an issue. But I understand how that could be annoying.

I haven't done so but I will probably breed them to "correct" the names. I haven't found out yet if you can change the names when they arrive.

It really bothered me when I transfered for the first time and the names didn't change automatically even though they weren't nicknamed in my Gen IV games :/

I had a Dragonite named as DRAGONITE in my Pokemon Black, so I bred it and trained a Dratini up to Dragonite with the same expectional EV's and IV's for weeks and weeks.

^Yeh it bothered me that much o_O

I didn't consider it (then again, 3/5 of what I sent over couldn't be renamed), so I'm stuck with a few in all caps like VENUSAUR and ALTARIA among ones with actual nicknames.
For the ones that could evolve, theirs change case anyway (SQUIRTLE to Wartortle). I'm glad they did that.

Well, it bothers me at first, but in the end it doesn't really matter. Likewise, all the human characters had their names capitalized until Gen III, and Gen IV had made some changes there. I didn't know they had changed that and named my character in all capital letters, which stood out at first. But I didn't care about that.

Same with poketransfer.
