Chansey's Lucky Egg

This is confusing me alot now so many different websites say different things so thought i'd come to the forum because even Bulbapedia isn't clear on it.

In pokemon G/S/C is it only possible to get the Lucky Egg on crystal or can u get it on Silver too? Please help i've caught over 30 chansey's now

You can get the Lucky Egg on Gold, Silver and Crystal. There is an 8% chance you'll get it.
