Chapter 6 of the Arceus Arc launches in Pokémon Masters EX with a new Special Battle Event, plus Volo debuts his new EX Master Sync Pair with Giratina

Chapter 6 of the Arceus Arc is launching today in Pokémon Masters EX. Volo's EX Master Fair Scout and a new Arceus Arc Celebration Special Battle Event will also be launching today alongside the start of the new chapter. Past challenges from the first five chapters are also returning in the Challenge Arc Suits Event: Show Me Thy Bonds.

Chapter 6 of the Main Story's Arceus Arc commences
Volo meets with both Team Rocket and Team Galactic as his plot comes closer to its fruition in this latest chapter of the Arceus Arc. Additional chapters will become available progressively over the coming months.

Volo EX Master Fair
Volo debuts his new EX Master Sync Pair with Giratina in this limited-time EX Master Fair Scout available in-game now, and running through to October 24th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Volt (Alt.) & Giratina are a Ghost-type Field Role Sync Pair. This EX Master Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair make their debut with the ability to be raised to 6★ EX, and the ability to unlock a Strike (Physical) EX Role when raised to 6★ EX. Raising the pair to 6★ EX also unlocks a new design for Volo, swapping out the white tunic for a black one more in fitting for this villain.

EX Master Scouts operate similar to Master Fairs, with an offering rate of 1% for the featured EX Master Sync Pair, 2% for additional featured 5★ Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs, and 12% for other 5★ Sync Pairs, which may include other Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs. Like with normal Master Fair Scouts, EX Master Fair Scouts require 400 scout points before players are able to get a free selection of any one Sync Pair available in the Scout.

The two Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs who will join Volt (Alt.) & Giratina in this scout are Rei & Decidueye, and Akari & Samurott.

The Volo EX Master Fair includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. The first twelve times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:

In addition, players who team up with Volt (Alt.) & Giratina in this Special Present scout will also receive a Strike Roll Cake item, which is required to unlock their EX Role.

Volo (Alt.) & Giratina are a high risk, high return Sync Pair who apply both the Physical Move Break and Special Move Break effects to themselves when buffing through their Strike Them Down! status move. In return for that debuff, Strike Them Down! reduces their sync move countdown by one, raises their Attack and Sp. Atk by six stat ranks, raises their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks, and increases their Physical Moves ↑ Next and Special Moves ↑ Next effects by three ranks. Their Master Passive Skill is Hisui's Pokémon Wielder, which powers up the moves and sync moves of all allied sync pairs by a base 20%, and reduces attack move and sync move damage taken by all allied sync pairs by a base 25%. Each sync pair with the Sinnoh theme on your team raises these percentages by 15% and 3% respectively, for a value of 35% and 28% if Volo (Alt.) & Giratina is the only Sinnoh pair on your team, and a maximum 50% and 31% if your entire team are from Sinnoh. The skill also lowers the Ghost Type Rebuff of all opposing sync pairs by one rank the first time Volo (Alt.) & Giratina's sync move is used each battle.

Volo (Alt.) Gem Emote
A special Gems with Gym Emotes offer is available from the in-game shop alongside the Volo EX Master Scout, allowing players to obtain a Volo (Alt.) Gym Emote as a present. This offer, which comes with 250 paid gems, can be purchased under the With Emotes tab in the Purchase Gems menu of the in-game shop.

In conjunction with this latest EX Master Fair, the following four Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until October 4th, at 10:59pm (PDT), offering discounted prices on paid gems. Check in game to find the prices for your region.

Special Battle Event: Arceus Arc Celebration
Players can now take on Volo in this latest Special Battle Event running through to October 2rd, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Similar to the previous Special Battle Events for the Arceus Arc, this event follows the simplified Story Event format, where players will collect Event Points as they complete battles, earning rewards based on the total amount of event points acquired instead of trading for specific desired rewards. Featured event rewards include 5★ Scout Tickets, Skill Items, a Support Move Candy Coin, 5★ Power-Ups, and Event Medals. Other rewards able to be obtained include Special Skill Feather 97; custom Sync Orbs for Volo (Alt.) & Giratina; and Lucky Cookies for Volo (Alt.) & Giratina and Sygna Suit Cynthia (Renegade) & Giratina.

Following that format, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

Volo (Alt.) & Giratina: +60% (×1.6) bonus rewards
Rei & Decidueye, Arc Suit Cynthia & Garchomp, Paulo & Lycanroc: +40% (×1.4) bonus rewards
Cyrus & Palkia: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards
All other Ghost-type Sync Pairs: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Volo (Alt.) & Giratina, Rei & Decidueye, and Arc Suit Cynthia & Garchomp would grant a combined +140% (×2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PDT).
To participate and attempt missions, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
All Event Points collected during this event will be automatically deleted once the event is over.

Log-in Bonus
Special Battle Event: Arceus Arc Celebration includes a log-in bonus over 14 days. Players can receive these bonuses up until October 1st, at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.

Challenge Arc Suits Event: Show Me Thy Bonds
Ultra Hard stages from past Special Battle Events from throughout the Arceus Arc return in this special event. The first area of this event, featuring the same challenge from the Challenge: Those Blessed by a Deity stage of Chapter 1, is available in-game now. Stages for Chapters 2 through 5 will open up over the next four days, at a rate of one per day.

In addition to the first time rewards for each of these areas, players can earn ×200 Gems per area by completing it without having any Pokémon knocked out. Managing this for all five areas awards a bonus ×500 Gems.
