I started to think about what the Pokemon series' characters' theme songs would be. You can do them for human characters or Pokemon! Here are a few I came up with:

RED: "Warrior" by Disturbed - "I'm one with the warrior inside/My dominance can't be denied..." Need I say more?

FLANNERY: "Burn" by Deep Purple - "She makes you burn with a wave of her hand..." Another one I really don't have to explain. Also, its fast tempo fits her character well.

MEWTWO: "Freak On A Leash" by KoRn - "Feeling like a freak on a leash/Feeling like I have no release..." The lyrics and general tone of this song fit the anime incarnation of Mewtwo rather well, considering its past with the scientists that created it.

Slurpuff - Gimme Chocolate, by Babymetal
Sableye - Burn MF, by Five Finger Death Punch
Spinda - Anything with the same tempo that matches its dancing, I could watch that and laugh like a giggling schoolgirl for hours.

I wish I could think of something else that is witty but that's as good as I get at the moment.

Lapras, Pikachu and Meowth are probably the only ones with a real theme song of their own, if I remember correctly.
Back then Lapras had so much attention, I wonder why the staff stopped giving it attention nowadays.

Blah... I was just gonna make this thread before I remembered I already made it. Anyway...

WINONA: "Higher Ground" by Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Gonna keep on tryin' 'til I reach the highest ground..." That, and I think the song's funky, upbeat tone fits Winona.

PRIMEAPE: "Loss of Control" by Van Halen - "Loss of control, loss of control, loss of control..." Yeah, that combined with this being one of Van Halen's most intense songs makes it perfect for Primeape.

blows dust off thread
So um... Hi.

Bugsy - Lord of the Hornets by Robert Calvert - Although I feel the overall melody isn't super fitted to him, the lyrics are too good for a bug catcher that commands bugs. "And when he whispers commands in his megaphone. They swarm to his call and he knows that he's not alone," "Queens are machines on a larva production line. Laying antenna-ed troops on the stings in a paper mine," and my personal favorite "Chemical code that makes warriors out of drones. Swarm information on tactics and strategy."

In Bugsy's hands, with the right strategy, tactics, care, and research, any bug can be a powerhouse. He's the Walking Bug Encyclopedia. And don't you forget it.

Tucker - "Pink Pony Club" by Chappel Roan. He's an extremely flamboyant man in a feminine outfit, and he dances on the stage of the Battle Dome.
Brock - "Risk it All" by Bruno Mars. I think any sort of romance song fits Brock as a theme for him, but I currently have the image of Brock serenading Nurse Joy with this, and I think that's hilarious. Of course, he'd get cut off by Croagunk poison jabbing him
Machamp - "Curl Muthafucka" by Kali Muscle. It's a bodybuilder. I feel as though no more elaboration is needed.

Oooh I have a couple

Will - Look at Me by Geri Halliwell
- YouTube
Whenever I try to think of a song that captures the need to be both the center of attention and the most mysterious person in the room, this is always my go-to. Loud and flashy but in a confusing sort of way that leaves more questions. “Sometimes I don’t recognize my own face” is line I feel has a ton of potential for Will- how often does he go without his mask, even in private?

Falkner - Daddy’s Boy by Pabst
- YouTube ((eye strain warning for the video))
“May I introduce myself before anybody talks”
is a fun opener for a first gym leader, before breaking into how he’s a complete mess putting on airs ((pfft, air)) by clinging to his bloodline. Falkner’s the type who initially looks all put together when in reality he’s just in dire need of validation from a man whose absence makes him exactly who he is
