I'm in need of a spot of help regarding the chat. Suddenly, it stopped working for me last night. This is the error I get:

[19:49] Unable to connect : java.net.ConnectException : Connection refused: connect

Can anyone explain this?

No, nothing's changed in my connection....I tried to download mIRC off Serebii but it didn't seem to work. Oddly, I can't connect to SPP's chat either---I get the same error.

But I think you might have something in trying another Java channel like ours. Any suggestions where I could find one? (I'm totally in the dark)

None of it works. Smogon cues up the same error, and that code you gave does nothing to fix it.

I'm ready to pull my hair out in frustration, I miss chatting with you guys.

Am I maybe doing something wrong?

I'm pasting the codes you're giving me into the chat window and then pressing Return as if I'm making a post.

Nope, it's not working at all.

It can't be a problem on my end. Nothing was changed at all between the last day it worked and the first day it didn't on my computer.

So there's nothing you can do? No answers you can give me?

(By the way, entering those codes---all it does for me is cause the error message to come up again)

I don't know what that means, so I'll just say what I have done. I've tried here, SPP and Smogon, and none of them have worked. I haven't a clue as to what a "stand-alone client" is.

It seems to want money.....which I don't have :(

I've got an idea. Try banning my IP then unbanning it, and do the same for the preregistered name "The_Great_Butler." Maybe that'll work.

?

Doesn't it say it's only a thirty day sample, and you must register it after that?
