Both of these great shows air on NBC and take place in the same universe, as PD is a spin-off from Fire.
These shows look at the fire and police departments in the city of Chicago. The third season of Fire began with a resolved cliffhanger from last season, with Shay getting killed off. My expectation was that everyone but Boden would be killed off in the explosion, and season 3 would have a mostly all-new cast. Turns out that didn't happen.
Does anybody else watch these shows?
