Chip Off The Old Brock Clip

Marshtomp sounds annoying. The old woman and kid with red hair sound great though.
 
Ash's voice seems off now. Way off.

I didn't mind the others, just she doesn't seem to be at her fullest now.

I'll give her a few more episodes to see if she improves or not. Three episodes in won't make much of a judgement of improvement

I feel the exact same way about Ash's new VA.

There was just no emotion in that voice at all, and that sounded nothing like Ash's original voice which I miss so much.

And I'm also going to give her a few more episodes to see if she improves, because that is just rediculous.

That voice really doesn't sound like Ash, and it makes me sad. :-(



On the positive side though, I agree with you Habunake, the red haired kid and the old woman sound great!! ^^

And also, Brock sounds very good as well!!!! In fact, his voice sounds really close to the original voice when he says one of the lines in that clip.
 
Well, Ash's new VA IS the least experianced in voice acting, give her time to grow into the role :/ Once she gets more comfortable with doing the voice you'll see an improvement~ You need to give her more than just a few episodes as well, I say give her 15-20 tops, I think by that time you will see a definate improvement, she can't get better overnight I'm afriad, she gets better through experiance.

As for the clip, everything sounded awesome, I especially loved Brock's voice, he just seems to get better and better, these eps still have a 4Kids feel it's really almost like the show never changed hands to be honest XD
 
Also remember that Sarah Natochenny hasn't exactly had that many lines yet. He didn't really do much in "Fear Factor Phony," and "Sweet Baby James" barely featured the twerps at all.

At least let Ash's VA have a Frontier Brain battle or two before condemning her.
 
Hmmm, Brock's actually bearable. At least, it doesn't scare me or make me want to cry. I'm used to more emotion with the original Brock, but he's improved a lot and he did have a little emotion here, so I think he'll improve. Hopefully when he's battling, he'll have acquired even more feeling.

TR still annoys me, though. Meowth is strident, Jessie seems to be lacking something or overdoes the cuteness, and James still sounds as if he's got a cold.

The generic filler voices I don't much care about either way. I won't hear them again. They don't really stand out as being great performances, but whatever.

However, Ash *does* sound bad. Better than the 'Mirage' Ash, but still dead and unfeeling.

Edit: Marshtomp *is* annoying. :/

Oh yes, that is a very good point, Dogasu. ^^

In that case, I take back some of the things I've said about Sarah......

And I will most likely wait until I've seen about 10 to 15 episodes anyway to see if she improves. Because, like you said, a Frontier Brain battle would be a good test to see how well she can "imitate" Veronica's Ash voice.

That is, if she really is imitating, but it seems to me like she's doing her own thing with Ash's voice. I don't like that at all. X_X


Also, I still say that if (and this is a big if) she doesn't get any better with her Ash voice, then there's no way I would be able to watch season 9 like that. That voice sounds nothing like Veronica's Ash, and that makes me sad.

Meaning we get to hear Scott's new VA as well.....0.0

So there's only one episode with Anabel, Habunake?


Or do you mean that's the episode where Ash meets Anabel (and he battles her in the next episode)?

I have no idea, cause I didn't see the Japanese version of any of these episodes. ^^0
 
Nevermind, I meant Greta...she only gets one episode cuz no one likes her....XD
