Chiptunes

Of course, my first thread on a pokemon site is about chiptunes.

Chiptunes is what happens when you leave your Gameboy and your copy of Rubber Soul in the day care: GB sound effects making uber music.

A dude from another forum i'm on, named 'Tactical Bread' (I call him Toast Ninja) made all these chiptunes with an old RBGY-era colorless GBA and a special synthesizer gamecart.

He also made an EP, Fish n' Chiptunes.

He didn't invent Chiptunes. They've been around for a while and were at peak in the 80ies, aparently.

I've kinda liked chiptunes for a while, I heard a really awesome piece someone made using the DJ game in the Gameboy Camera (Trippy H, I believe it's called).
So, last summer I decided to get one of Ebay just to play around with it.
I've heard some chiptune artists whose music sounds a little too... 'dance' for my liking, if you catch my drift.

Here's a piece that made me invest in a Gameboy Camera in the first place. It's only 20 seconds long, but I think it's super catchy:
