How do you all do Christmas Cards? (or any other holiday, for that matter) What sort of approach do you take?

I get postcards of the Portland area and send those out to my friends around the world. Like to show off where I live, after all.

Borders had cards 3 for 2, so I bought those and sent them to whoever I felt like I liked enough to waste postage on. I bought really nice ones.

Here's how I do Christmas cards. First, I buy them, of course (usually I get them from the dollar store or, if I'm feeling particularly cheap, I'll make my own), and sign them and put them in the envelopes. Next I address the envelopes to myself, and write the names and addresses of my friends in the top left hand corner (return address space). Finally, I drop the cards off at the post office without putting stamps on them. ^o^ And this is how you cheat the postal service!

I'm a tightwad, I know. D:

I totally approve of this (mostly because it's insanely clever and I like that), but I'm just shocked the postal service hasn't caught on somehow o.0

I thought they would have by now, and they'll probably catch on eventually and then I'll have to buy stamps like everyone else. >.> But I don't send a whole lot of letters, so it's only a couple times a year.
