omg :eek: I think I may have seen those. Is there anywhere that mentions what malls they were found in?

Never mind, I saw it. Yep, it was White Marsh mall where I saw them.

I'm surprised action was taken, people on those little booths in the middle always sell bootlegs. Especially those video game "systems" that are essentially a bunch of NES roms...

I'd think consumers are the wiser to use better judgment on any type of bootlegged merchandise. With the recent lead scares in toy products, I can see how the media can get worked up. This blurb seemed a simple "buyer beware" piece that news programs do every year aimed at the exactly two people who don't understand what risks buying bootleg carries, nothing more serious. But I do hope this isn't a continuing trend that over-hypes the warnings, exaggerating issues for the sake of ratings.
 
People still care about Tickle Me Elmo? Is that like a fad that died 10 years ago?
 
:eek:hdear: You'd think companies would have better things to do rather than making fake crap so that they can be slapped with a lawsuit? I never could understand, you know you're going to get caught doing something wrong, so why do it? Duh!

My Tickle Me Elmo is broke and now speaks in a super slow, and VERY DEEP voice.

"HAHA THAT TICKLES!"

It's like...very freaky. I even called Chris Hansen because it sounds like a creepy pedo.

And yeah, they do hurt (had it happen to me, too; now they'll make more toys with squishy eyes I bet or some recall).

This isn't too good of a year for the kiddos, is it?
 
Not really, especially with that lead paint recall that was happening like all the time!

Sad to say, no. The sad part is, China doesn't even care anymore about the lead in that paint.

And this just makes it worse.

Oh well, kids will probably switch to electronics now, eh?

With more video games suited for little kids like that Crayola one (what was it called?), parents will most likely buy a DS/PSP for their kid.

Makes two of us. I was forced to sell the stupid thing last year. And worse, Prime's mother wanted one, so I had to check for the blasted thing every single day. >.<

:lol: Oh lawd, that's gotta be the funniest thing I've read in a long time! With the way things have been lately, I needed that laugh.

In all seriousness, this doesn't surprise me in the least. There have been knockoffs/bootlegs of Transformers figures for years. Nothing seems to slow these guys down. I wish Fisher-Price the best of luck on this. They're going to need it.

yes but seeing as the transformers have been around for so long, the knock offs have become very good over the years, some knock offs are better then the originals. WST fort max is proof of that
