Well, I've got permission from Dolce to host this tourney, so I may as well make the thread... I don't really have anything else to say, so here are the rules:
Rules:
Prizes:
1st place: Either a Riolu or a Charmander that is geared towards a Mega 'Zard X, whoever wins it gets their pick.
2nd place: Beldum
3rd place: Weedle
Note: All of the prizes 'mons are going to have perfect 5 IVs.
Participants:
Rules:
No. of players per match: The matches shall all be 1v1 battles.
Match rules: Said matches shall be Three Stock matches with ten minutes on the clock.
Matches per round: Best of three.
Tourney structure: I'm thinking Double Elimination.
Stages: I have decided upon the stages that shall be allowed or not, and here are the ones that, unless you use the Omega version, are NOT ALLOWED to be used, and the reason for said banning:
Characters: Every single character shall be allowed to participate, including Miis.
Customizations: I'd say that Equipment should not be allowed as it can make the game incredibly unballenced, not to mention unfair to those whosuck can't get good enough Equipment. As for Custom Moves, those are fair game, even the Power Arrow, as I've determined from the following test:
Goal: same as last time, to determine if the Power Arrows are worthy of a ban.
Method: same as last time, fight twenty-five Stock matches (with three Stock) against Lv. 9 CPUs with Link’s Hero’s Bow on Omega stages, then fight the same amount of Lv. 9 CPUs on Omega stages with Link equipped with the Power Arrow. Oh, and the Standard Special is the only thing that’s going to change, not equipment, not his other Specials, nothing.

Notes: I have actually managed to kill a CPU with the Hero’s Bow, but the CPU in question was at 100% damage and in mid-air.
It seems the only time that spamming the Hero’s Bow is a good idea is when the AI is feeling stupid and not blocking/jumping.
I’m noticing that spamming the Power Arrows is a lot harder than before due to the longer charge time and slightly slower speed – in fact, I found Bomb spam more effective than Power Arrow spam.
Also, it seems that a lot of the Power Arrow kills I got were from the AI doing something stupid, such as evading rather than jumping when trying to get back on the stage from the ledge.
Conclusion: I'm going to allow them to be used, as they have been significantly nerfed since the 3DS version.
Items:Since this is a Bulbagarden tourney, the Pokéball and Master Ball are pretty much in. Oh, and the Smash Ball is in too. Also, I think that they should be set to Low so that it's not (too) uncompeditve.
Version: Wii U, because lag sucks.
Dates: Due to lack of interest, I'll postpone it 'till after Christmas... The 30th sounds good. (Note: That date is based off of New Zealand time, which is GMT +13, so that it's easier for me to keep track of everything.)
