A special thanks to Arkeis, for the help with the banner.

So I finished XD: Gale of Darkness and HG/SS(Yea, both) and decided to combine the two, and keep my own twist on things in there.

Alex- A Bottled Map

When you first here the name Hoenn what do you think? Of Raquaza's Sky Pillar or maybe the legends of Mirage Island. Well I know you wouldn't think of a would be champion's younger brother.

It all started on to beaches of Lilly cove. Out hero had taken on the duty of watching over his brother's pokemon while he was off in Sinnoh. He ran his fingers through the fur, hair, feathers whatever they were that coated a baby Torchic's body as he walked and held it in his arms.

A glint of black up ahead caught Alex's eye. He walked quicker and came upon a glass bottle. He crouched and set the Torchic down before rubbing the sand off to reveal a black glass figurine in a bottle. It was a bird, with its wings wrapped around most of it. The flight feathers were a bright green. Looking at it from above you could see that the beak was gold, the same with it's wide spread tail feathers. The bird balanced on one foot, the other pulled up into its chest and holding a parchment that was worn and salt crusted. Alex held it in one hand and picked up the Torchic in the other before heading to his family's seaside house.

In the times of Ash Ketum his great-grandfather had lived in the house but it belonged to his mother and father now. He set the Torchic down outside his house and opened the door to the scents of his mother's cooking. He slipped his shoes off and hung a light blue trench coat on a hanger.

He headed for his room and set the bottle down before running his finger's through the mop of silvery hair that had settled on his head. The Torchic began pecking the the bottle, cracking the foggy green glass. It eventually she made a hole big enough to pull the figurine out and onto the bed. The Torchic, who had been named Blaze circled the figurine before puling the parchment out of its glass grip.

Blaze opened the paper and looked at a map of Jhoto. There was a white circle in the ocean, and a red and green one south of the lake or rage. Yellow, blue, and red dots were west of the Lake of Rage. Near New Bark Town was a grey, blue, and red circle. Near the rim in the direction of Hoenn was a silver and brown dot. In the middle of the forest was a black dot.

Alex looked at the map to and became unaware of an Eevee under his bed, waiting for its moment. The Eevee was to watch over the figurine's spirit. Eevee shook its head at the foolishness of the Torchic. The spirit could break out at any second, and to mess with his map when he got out they'd be dead.

When Alex stood with the Figurine cupped in his hands the Eevee backed up against the wall and knocked against a bed post, sending a rack of pokeballs to the grounds. Alex almost dropped the figurine whose wings seemed to have twitched to prepare for flight.

He set the glass bird down on his desk next to a white sash with a series of gaps ment for pokeballs.

Blaze jumped down from the bed and crawled under the bed. The Eevee growled and Blaze stepped back. Alex pulled a pokeball from his sash, vest thing and rolled it under the bed. The Eevee had been so occupied it didn't notice the red and white sphere it would be caught in seconds later.

"Blaze, can you get that for me?" Alex asked to Torchic. She nodded and walked under the bed and nudged to pokeball out and stepped back into the lamp light. Alex brushed Blaze off before putting the Eevee's pokeball in his sash.

I'm very, very disappointed Vee. But the boy's Aura is right. When we get back home I should be strong enough to get out of this blasted Figurine.

I tried sir. I couldn't find you on the beach.

Excuses, excuses, excuse Vee. For now just be... normal.

Yes Sir.

Alex scooped up the pokeballs that had scattered themselves across the floor and sat on his bed with them in his lap. He'd take a Trapinch and Ralts to Jhoto. Frey and Gar were there names. He slipped them into his sash before putting it on and heading to the kitchen.

He stopped at the doorway and turned back to grab a bag to attach to his waist and he slipped the figurine in and stuffed it with a few scraps of paper. Blaze followed him.

Alex smiled, after explaining why he wanted to go to Jhoto s mother had bought him a ferry ticket and given him a few hundred dollars to keep for battle paying and for supplies later on. He stood on the docks now. A ship was on its way over the horizon.

"This." He said picking Blaze up and returning her to her pokeball.
"Is the beginning of a beautiful adventure."

Beyond your wildest dreams kid. Believe me, wildest dream.

There are several Typos and and Grammer issues. Lily Cove needs to be capitalized.

Reread to find the errors.
